Does anyone know why places like Wal*Mart and grocery stores stopped carrying comic books? Wasn't it something like a severed head on a cover? It's not that big of a deal, really, but it makes me sad.

On a completely different note, I just saw that Namor is in his very own comic book once again, and it brought up an old question: how the hell do you pronounce his name? Is it like "Name-er" or "Nam-or"? I've heard it both ways, but I'm guessing "Nam-or".

Am I the only loser who cares about this kind of stuff? (Don't bother answering that one, the answer is most likely yes)

National Enquirer sells more, and places like WalMart don't particular like the "bad" content of most comics. Besides, comics are for deviants and you're only allowed to shop at WalMart if you're a wholesome person.

Fuck Wal-mart, the only place to buy comics is at the comic shop.

And fuck Namor too. :P

I've heard the name pronounced both ways too. I say "Nay-more".

Bullshit, Proto, Bull-shit! The only way to get comic books is for the artist & author to deliver it to you on a golden platter!

Exactly. And why do they sell the Nightmare on Elm Street 8 disc set for the cheapest price both online and store-wise? Because...um......DON'T QUESTION WAL-MART!

You really need to find a comic book store, go there, get friendly with the guys who work there. At the one comic book store i use to go to, the guy always gave me free comics and deals on some action figures. Heck, i even got a job there for awhile.

Now I got a friend in the business, and i might just work there myself.

So really, forget that wal-mart overpriced crap.

Plus the Wal-marts I've been to really treat their books and magazines like shit. They have these stupid racks that are more to rip the shit out of the books rather than hold them and not get them messed up.
