it's not just a "guess the flavor" it as an actual bona-fide QUEST! yay!!

i bought a bag b/c i am a sucker. i immediately noted that it tasted like lime tostitos, only sweeter. i went to the website and they made me "guess" the flavor. i put guess in quotes b/c the started to give me hints--it wasn't until it said "mo-n-a-n d-w" that i got it--mountain dew! sounds gross, but actually not that bad. then there's a bunch more other little puzzles but unfortunately i'm not good at puzzles so i gave up. winner gets like 500,000 bux, so if you're interested, check that shit out.

Thank God. I thought I'd have to get up and do something to have an adventure. Life just got that much more sedentary.

Yeah, I bought a bag of these a while ago, but I thought they were pretty weak. The "mountain dew" mystery flavor was a lot more obvious (what with the whole X-Treme green logo on the bag) than the ominous Doritos X-13D Flavor Experiment bag... take a look:

Honestly, it really just tastes like chips with lime. The whole "Mountain Dew" flavor is just a marketing gimmick trying to get people to try 'em so they can say they know what soda-flavored chips taste like. And yes, it's a gimmick that obviously works :O

After the first mystery flavor fiasco that Doritos rolled out, I decided it best not to deal in mystery flavors. It never goes well.

I got the X-13D chips for free from a friend and they were so bad that even though they were free I still thought I got ripped off

I'm still fighting the waves of nausea from the introduction of Cool Ranch. The scent literally sickens me.

There's some sort of tortilla chip...oh, it's in a seafoam-green bag, I can't remember the brand name...but the "with lime" version is absolutely horrible. The powder coating is almost slimy and overwhelmingly abundant/sour. Eee-yuck.
