Ye Olde Israel Vs. Palestine debate
This gets interestign responses wherever i go.
After you vote please explain why you voted such and i'd also liek to know your religion just out of curiosity in case that affected your vote in any way.
The land has changed hands more then i can count. As I understand it was first occupied by the descendants of Canaan, the Israel, then israel goes into captivity A LOT, and returns, for a long time it's abandoned then there are the crusades. in the 1800s it begins being repopulated by jews and various arabs who come for work. after WW2 Israel is restablished as a country, the canaanitic people get the transjordan area (now called Jordan) During the 6 day war Israel gained a LOT of land while the rest of the world was tryin to wipe them off the map. they gave back most of it but kept some. PLO is not really a country yet but it is almost and will be soon. You can't seperate the 2 entirley beacuse palestinains make up most of the israeli workforce. But currently checkpoints and walls are up to reduce the amount and severity of suicide bombers.
So.....
Is suicide bombing civilians a legitemate way to get your goals?
Is assasinating PLO leaders moral if they are commiting war crimes?
Can the racism on BOTH sides be overcome?
Does both, one or niether of their scriptures condone genocide or give either one of them the land?
What about the wall? Is it aparthied? Or nessacary to curb terrorism
