WHO THE FUCK STOPPED THE ALIENS FROM INFESTING THE ENTIRE PLANET IF THE PREDATORS WERE WIPED OUT????
The entire fucking idea behind the xenomorphs is that they COMPLETELY infest and wipe out an entire planet, even if there is ONLY ONE present.

The Aztec Predators used the self-destruct method to wipe out all the xenomorphs, but that leads to this: Why are the temples still there if their explosions wipe out everythng in a near-mile radius? Perhaps they lured all the xenomorphs in one centralized location (could be why all the Aztec people died out), and then the Preds self-destructed, killing all the xenomorphs (along with the Aztec preds) and leaving that area abandoned. You know what? Fuck it. We'll find out when it comes out, or they won't explained, leaving a terrible plothole which they'll try to fix in a bad sequel.

The idea of Freddy vs. Jason and AvP have been kicked around for a while. Fredy vs. Jason was more of a fan dream for years until this year, while AvP did already have official stuff (games, books, comics, etc.) but have never given the chance to make the movie until now. Freddy vs. Jason was probably (best bet that it WAS) the reason why AvP is now in production because it shows that Fights against 2 movie villians can work, if done properly.
