Old Nov 30th, 2007, 03:31 PM        Setting up a Webcam with a regular camcorder?
So my family back East has been telling me to get a webcam so I can talk to them on Skype 'n what not since I never see them. I just wanted to know if it's possible to use a regular video camcorder for this since I already have one and really don't need more computer accessories... but I will buy one if I have to.

Oh lame, according to Skype "Please note: firewire devices are not supported at this time." so I guess that pretty much answers my question. :/

So anybody want to recommend a good webcam?

I'd recommend something in the $30 variety. Newegg.com has a good selection.

Are you planning to set up www.mockerywifebangers.com like you said you were going to do last Christmas but never got around to it because of the "icicle party" that was apparently going on in your pants?
