and its live action....ugh....this will get all the emo kids that live in my neighborhood a new outlook and get even creepier....then I repel them with slayer and old school metallica...anyways how is it crappy anime like this gets made into big screen movies but Vampire Hunter D and Akira do not? and before you say it yeah I know Akira is getting the live action treatment with Leo DiCaprio but still it should have happened sooner.

Hey hey hey slow down. Read the forum for a month or so before you start posting new threads if you want to get anything but dick responses.

Pretty much everyone here besides Guitar Woman hates anime... and Guitar Woman. Saying they shouldn't make the bad animes into films is like saying they should only put the bad rapists in prison. Fact is they're all bad and rapists, just like animes.

I dont really HATE anime a couple are actually good, Vampire Hunter D and AKira are really the only ones I like, and besides i thought it was just stupid anyways.

About liking anime/manga? Yeah. I only like some though. Not the really weird ones or ones with excessive relationships (where it's all "Ohh, I love you so much!!! *Squeal*" I'm not much of a shoujo person). Mostly I just like screwball comedy-types.

I have to confess, I do like a lot of anime and manga. I even like to go to the conventions. But when people start to run around, talking mangles moonspeak and acting like they're Japanese or an anime character, that's when I get pissed off.
For Christ's sake, there was a kid at school who would wear a store-bought Sasuke costume every Friday, until he got the living shit beat out of him. I watched, and laughed.

Oy, I hate people like that. Several of my friends were OBSESSED with this manga character called "Subaru". They kept talking about him. When they came over for my birthday, they found this modified wedding dress I bought for a Halloween costume, took turns putting it on, and pretended that they were marrying Subaru. To me, it seemed totally pointless since (a) He was a FICTIONAL CHARACTER and (b) if he was real, in the manga he appeared to be dead and homosexual, so it would seem like they wouldn't have had much of a chance with him anyway.
