There probably was already a thread on this but whatever...

Its coming out pretty soon, and I liked BF1942. I'm at least going to have somebody pirate it. You can not only nape the gookers, but you can do it while listening to MARTHA AND THE VANDALS!!!!1

Being a pirate for music is good. Being a pirate for movies is ok. Downloading older, decent games to play is fine and dandy.
(if the movie was only decent)

But pirating a game of this calibur, is unholy, and you should be struck down by the Gods of Gaming for this.
I have never pirated a Good Game, I pay for it, it encourages growth of the game, pays the developers, (which in turn encourages them to make even better games), and it also shows your support for the game.

SHAME! You are no gamer! You are just a user!

I said I would at least pirate it, meaning that if it was good I wouldn't.

But anyways, do realize who this game is made by? Electronic Arts AKA the devil of the gaming industry!

On a side note I would never pirate most even decent movies. Too much time money and effort go into them for me to not feel guilty.

Battlefield is made by Dice. A foreign game comany that was bought by E.A.

It like hating GMC but loving Chevy.

blah blah blah you can pirate this, but you can't pirate that.
your arguement does not make me bleed.

Battlefield vietnam is a very professional mod. It isn't good as desert combat, but it's nice for about 3 rounds. Then you realize there is no campaign mode. It's ok though, because you downloaded it off suprnova. All is well. Then you start getting shot by fucking bushes. Nevermind the fact that you always get shot when you lie prone, the vietnamese have special invisi-shields. Battlefield vietnam is worth a download, same as desert combat. it is NOT worth money.

Eventhough 8ullfrog sounds like an idiot(OMG! YOU USED AN 8 instead of a B HOW CLEVER), I would have to agree with him. I made the mistake of buying this game and all it is Battlefield 1942 mod with better renderings. It still is pretty fun. And yes, the AI is stupid just like in BF 1942. But the main point of these games is to be played multiplayer.

Desert Combat sucks. BFV is alot better, you can acually FLY the helecopters.

eh, I owned Battlefield 1942 from the moment it released. (and the demo before it released) and it wasn't perfect. Lots of exploits could be used, and the game was very unbalanced.

well ouch. how very witty indeed.
I forgot to complain about the jets.
I flew a jet around for about 15 seconds, it flipped over.
I flew the opposing jet - the mig, for about 6 seconds before it flipped. the helicopter kept falling back on it's tail, which killed me.
I still say desert combat is a better mod than BFV.
and yes, BFV is just a mod. an official mod yes, a pretty mod agreed, but think about it. The napalm airstrikes do not burn the jungle down, they just set the ground on fire for a little bit.

Whats your point? I owned it too. Most PC games that come out have tons of bugs. Companys like EA set rediculous deadlines for projects as soon as they announce them. All they really care about is if the game is playable when it comes out. Any further problems can be solved with a few patches.

BFV also has a few bugs that need to be addressed too. Its just the way that PC games are produced.

- how are all these pre teens like Bullfrog joining this message board? Isn't there an age limit?
