I-Mockery At E3 2011 - The Electronics Entertainment Expo!

...CONTINUED

That's not a knife, this is a... er... ok yeah, that actually is a knife. Carry on, ladies.

The bat and the cat.

Sure, you look tough now, but let's talk after you've squared off against Batman.

Another large display promoting the upcoming Batman: Arkham City game.

I was amused to see that they recreated the classic Mortal Kombat arcade cabinets so
E3 attendees could try out the new game the way it was always meant to be played.

Why so serious?

Gotham City Impostors really does look like mindless multiplayer fun. Looking forward to this one.

What!? They're impostors?? Looks like the real Batman and Joker to me.

Four-player split-screen BurgerTime? Sign me up!

Apparently the hot dogs from Burgertime can drive.

It amazed me how long the wrap-around line for Duke Nukem Forever was, considering the game was already out.
Call me crazy, but when I'm at E3, I tend to play the games that I know won't be out for quite a long time.

Once again, the ladies just couldn't help themselves from touching the royal pickle.

Another shot of the swarming crowds at E3.

I'm not a fan of Glee, so it should come as no surprise that I'm not a fan of Glee Karaoke either.

Fishy windsocks. Why not?

That's gotta sting.

You could pose for a photo in a fake electric chair to help promote Rise of Nightmares.
Somehow, we managed to pass on this incredible opportunity.

Watching Dr. Boogie stumble through this game didn't make me any more interested in it.

Inside the Konami booth.

I'm sad to report that while I'm a big fan of BurgerTime, Dr. Boogie created more burgers than I did. Bastard.

While the game is less 2D, the same basic burger building mechanics are there and it's a lot of fun.
If you're a fan of the original classic arcade game, this new one is a solid continuance with some nice new elements.

Captain America needs to press his clothes.

Captain America's beloved shield encased in protective glass.
Wait, isn't that shield indestructible? It needs no protective glass!

There's still much more to see from
I-Mockery's coverage of E3 2011!

Otomedius makes me rage.

You know, Rog, at least there's a new Shinobi coming out, who cares what system it's on? I would murder someone for the chance to play a new Strider game on anything, let alone the DS.

My friend's a booth babe, fun stuff. Though there's lots of cool floatin around regardless of what year it is at E3.... I just gotta say it seems a lil less than what I was expecting, especially when compared to last year
WHAT'S THIS?!

I had a retrogasm over all the vintage games and game memorabilia. The puffy stickers in particular brought me back to my youth. I sure miss my youth.

Thanks for the huge amount of pictures and work that went into this guys, appreciate it.

Want to add a few things though, if its ok?

Your not really saying it is at all but its worth noting that Operation Raccoon City isn't a sequel to Resident Evil, its more of a alternate reality Left 4 Dead-ish (like you mentioned) side thing. And the only reason I'm saying its alternate reality is because of the prospect of doing certain things that will make other things in the RE Universe never happen (But I won't spoil the event for anyone who may not know). The real RE4-ish, horror, experience is going to come from the 3DS RE title Revelations, which is looking like its going to be sort of going back to the series darker roots.

As for Silent Hill, theres a lot riding on this game resonating with fans. Konami knows people didn't groove on Homecoming and really seem to want to change that. So thats probably the reason why the game was shown in such a shoddy alpha state as it was, companies usually tend to do something like this when they have to prove something and want to show it. Whether or not they polish all that out, or even make a truly likable game out of what they have, is something we really don't know till its closer to release.

I don't believe Capcom's ever had anything to do with Dead Island and I can't find anything off hand that says they ever did. That said, Square-Enix will be publishing this one for Deep Silver.

Given all the stupid crap the Hulk's been (or put himself) through in recent years I'm not surprised he didn't look so cheery.

Duke Nukem Forever came out today in the US (and last Friday elsewhere), so that's probably why it had such a huge line at last weeks show. People were chewing a the bit to play it.

Overall though I was really unimpressed with E3 all together this year. There were some small things here and there that I'm looking forward to but if the show never existed I'd be just as interested if I read them on some website somewhere.

Thanks for all the awesome pictures, guys!

I just can't help but wonder what Rei thinks of Rog flirting with all those booth babes.

Since I'm certain you care, a librarian is a space marine with psychic powers (like shooting lightning, speed boosts, etc.). Because thats clearly what you need when you're already the size of a minivan.

Also, those were some phenomenal pictures. Especially the old gaming stuff.

It's still disappointing to me because it seems like a step in the wrong direction. A big part of the horror comes from being alone. They compromised this big time in 5, and I just can't see myself being scared at all in this one. the 3DS maybe meant as something more in line with the series as a whole, but they still intend for O:RC to be a Resident Evil game.

That's correct, I was so caught up with the DR2 comparison that I mistakenly said it was Capcom publishing it, whereas it's really Square-Enix.
