The 2009 Eyegore Awards Ceremonies and Halloween Horror Nights
by: -RoG-

...CONTINUED

Friendly as can be... with one small exception.

Another reference to Halloween III: Season of the Witch!

And another! Conal Cochran would be most pleased!

Michael goes off on another hunt.

A lone Halloween jack-o-lantern out behind the Myers' home.

Now we all remember this famous kill...

...but even better was capturing some guy getting totally freaked out by it when Michael came bursting into the room!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I came upon an entire room dedicated to Halloween III: Season of the Witch
complete with a TV playing the Silver Shamrock theme song as the pumpkin flashed before our eyes!

Yes! They even showed the gruesome results of some kids who wore those Silver Shamrock masks!

It's time! Time to put on your masks! Silver Shamrock!

A recreation of the scene in which Michael Myers puts on the sheets and kills the girl.

One of the best rooms of the entire event.

After leaving the amazing Myers' maze, we walked by the butchery for a snack.

Mmmm... beefy!

Odd that a giant pig-man was the one in charge of the slaughterhouse.

More beefy goodness.

Hiding from the monsters!

Unfortunately for these two, they didn't use a good hiding strategy.

I don't know why people have such a hard time finding Waldo. For chrissakes, he's right fucking there!

There's still more Halloween Horror fun to see!

That's pretty sad that in the picture of Doc Mock and Corey Feldman together, Doc Mock looks more sane.

Sounds like a great event, although the one near me in Orlando is probably no where near as exciting.

I think if Rob Zombie actually cracked a smile, Hell would freeze over and candy would rain from the sky. And who wants to be pelted by candy all day?

The Psycho home always looks amazing. They do such a good job with the lighting on that one.

Nice photo gallery again this year! Next to the candy review, this is the one I look forward to the most every year.

Must be nice to have something like that around, Germany is not exactly the capital of Halloweenland...

Looks like a good time. I'm willing to bet that Dock Mock is a much bigger celebrity than Corey Feldman right now. He should have interviewed you!

I'm kind of disappointed by the Chucky themed areas. Seems like instead of recreating any scenes from the movies, they just made random haunted house rooms and added a Chucky doll somewhere.

Yeah whoever thought of the chucky one should be immediately fired. Especially considering none of the chuckys even looked like chucky! Seriously, he's a doll. Since he's SUPPOSED to look all fake and shiny all they needed to do was make up some custom chucky dummies and it would have looked awesome. Also some relevance to chucky films would have been nice as well. At the very least the doll factory should have been represented. I mean a empty warehouse with a bunch of boxes. How hard would that have been?

My bloody valentine seemed pretty lame as well. While a decent horror film I didn't find it particularly scary especially considering I'm from WV and know for a fact that none of the mining related stuff in the film is in any way based in reality, including the stupid gas mask that miners simply refuse to wear. The dude would have stuck out like a sore thumb.

Seems like they recycled 75% of the set pieces as well. I'm guessing they are phasing out freddy because of the upcoming (and doomed I might add) reboot. The fact of the matter is, he should ALWAYS be there though.

Michael Myers looked fantastic though. I got a semi when I saw all the halloween III stuff in your pics. Also nice to see they completely ignored the rob zombie versions.

Seems odd they've never done a hellraiser one either. There's tons of realistic hellraiser gear out there so unlike the chucky attempt, they could have bought off the shelf items and actually ended up with a nice looking attraction.

Disney has owned Hellraiser up until 2005, when the Weinsteins took Dimension films with them when they left Miramax.

Not that it would be hard for them to do a Hellraiser maze- they had a lot of the hanging chain stuff like that in the WWE Undertaker maze they did around 2000-2001 and it worked pretty well.

Awww, every time you guys post something like this I'm always so jealous. The only theme park around here is six flags new england, and their idea of haunted house theming always seems to range from scary clowns to insane asylum with no creativity at all! Granted its still usually really scary when you're doing it, but afterwards you're not stunned by any great leaps of imagination or anything. A few years ago I got to go to Busch Gardens Tampa's Howl-o-scream and was blown away by how creative it all was. Even the least scary mazes were amazingly effective and while they didn't reduce people to tears there was plenty to talk about afterwards! Oh well.

I loved the Silver Shamrock addition to the Halloween Maze. That totally just made this super awesome. I mean I went to the one in Orlando 2 years ago when they had like the Friday the 13th, Dead Silence, Nitemare on Elmstreet, and it was a blast, but if they would have had anything with Silver Shamrock it would have made my day as well.

If I'm lucky, maybe some day that will be true. I have to say though, Corey is a really good sport and doesn't take himself or his work too seriously. Anybody who'll joke around with me in response to questions about a movie like Blown Away is aok in my book.

Nah, that place is always there year round. They just added Chucky into it to mix it up a bit. It wasn't a totally new maze like all the other ones were. If it was, then yeah, there'd be reason to complain, but since this is just their way of making a pre-existing maze more Halloweeny, it's fine.

You've gotta keep in mind that my photos are only a fraction of what you get to see in all of these mazes. The My Bloody Valentine one was actually very nicely put together and I definitely enjoyed it.

Yeah, there wasn't a SINGLE thing about the Rob Zombie movies in the maze, which made me extremely happy. And you just can't beat the Silver Shamrock room... that one had me absolutely amazed and truly made the night for me.

I love Howl-O-Scream! I used to go there all the time back when I lived in Virginia. You can check out my photos from visiting there years ago here: http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/buschgardens

Is it just me, or is the picture of Chucky on page 2 with the corpse with a hole in his chest, does Chucky look immensely retarded? It's kinda the face. I imagine him yelling "DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
