I-Mockery Pays A Visit To The 2011 Monsterpalooza In Burbank!
by: -RoG-

...CONTINUED

Wesley Snipes will be along shortly to put him out of his misery.

Somebody's in a bad mood today.

I think I'll dine somewhere else... like a restaurant that isn't filled with bloodthirsty monsters.

A fine top hat makes even the most gruesome ghouls look distinguished.

A nice take on Cthulhu.

Wonkabot.

I'm still trying to get this one out of my nightmares. It isn't working.

Steampunk zombie lady.

I guess I'd be in pain too if I had branches growing out of my skull.

This grinch looks slightly more sinister than the one from the classic Dr. Seuss story.

Another fine Pumpkinhead.

At least he's not shedding all over the carpet.

David Lo-Pan packs up for the day and returns to the underworld. Guess he never found another girl with green eyes.

More monster busts.

Another cartoonish reimagining of the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

I was tempted to buy this Big Trouble in Little China poster, but it was a bit too huge.
Also, Jack Burton's face wasn't very accurate... but the rest of the poster was great.

You too can listen to the Horrific Halloween Spooktacular LP and hear the Cadaver Palaver, Spine-Chilling Screams & more!

They offered to give me a lift home.
I couldn't place my finger on why, but I had the feeling this wouldn't end well, so I declined.

And that wraps up my coverage of the 2011 Monsterpalooza event. Hope you enjoyed the 150+ photos of all the incredible makeup effects and monster goodies from yesteryear. I'm sure they'll be holding another Monsterpalooza in 2012, so if you missed out on it this year, start making plans in advance to check it out in person next time.

Oh, and about the gothic babe (zombie w/big boobs) maybe you find an explanation here:

http://www.changingportraits.com/dahlia_dark.htm

Her name is Dahlia Dark, and apparently, she's a big fan of Pee Wee too!

Honestly, if Dahlia Dark didn't have her boobs out of her shirt, I would want that picture sooo bad! (nothing against boobs, just not something I'd want in my living room).

Thanks for taking all the photos! For those of us who can't make it to these events, your reviews are the next best thing.

Man that alternate Freddy design was awesome. It's like they took Freddy and somehow made him "freddier." Unfortuantely the guys in charge of the new line remakes don't have a clue. We get stuck with pervy mush-face instead.

Holy crap. The pic of the supernaturals toy just answered a question i've had for years, namely what the hell were those toys called.

The topless voodoo lady looks like the witch from Chaka Zulu.

The A-Z diorama is based on Edward Gorey's "The Gashlycrumb Tinies" but it looks like they're the "after" pictures to go with the "befores" he drew: http://nac.tamu.edu/x075bb/poems/gorey/
