ScareLA 2016: The Los Angeles Halloween Convention!
by: -RoG-

...CONTINUED

The Wicked Witch of the West Coast!

Sam from Trick 'r Treat is still enjoying his lolipop, but I have no idea what
offense against Halloween was commited by Patrick from Spongebob Squarepants.

All aboard the Halloween train!

Looks like you're still creeping just fine on your own.

Hey everbody! It's our old pal, Bloody Nipples McGee!

The Blacklight Experience was a nice new addition to ScareLA this year.

Neon spiders invading my brain!

"The owls are not what they seem."

Paging Daenerys. Paging Daenerys. We found your dragon.

Gotta have some blacklight pumpkins in the mix too.

I wonder if she rolled here all the way from the Field of Screams event?

Our pals from Field of Screams had their own mini-haunt with a long wait line. Good to see 'em drawing in the crowds!
Be sure to check out our coverage of their event from last year and pay them a visit this season if you're in SoCal.

You can never go wrong with a classic ghost costume. NEVER.

Okay, so she wasn't in her Elvira get-up, but it's always nice to see Cassandra Peterson at these conventions.

Had fun playing a virtual reality zombie game at the Dread Central booth. They never had a chance to take a bite outta me.

Also, no matter how hard you try, you just can't look cool wearing VR gear.

If it's anywhere near as much fun as this clown is having, count me in!

Miss mummy led us to her photo booth...

... so our friend Katia turned into a werewolf and hung herself at the Macabre Memories photo booth.

Had to check out the Sleeping Kittens of the Damned once again before leaving.

Looks like the Scooby Doo gang were on hand to solve another mystery. I bet Old Man Witherspoon was behind it all!

This Mad Max inspired VW Bug was named Roxanne.

While it should've been horror/zombie themed, I loved how they had a small zip-line that attendees could ride for free.

Our friends from Southland Ghostbusters were good enough to give us some Ecto Cooler and a Twinkie as a parting gift!

I miss the giant, inflatable pumpkin they had outside in previous years,
but this vintage style black cat still made for a nice final photo opportunity.

And now, I'm happy to present you with my special ScareLA Halloween video!

ScareLA is always a perfect way to get amped up for the Halloween season each year. If you haven't checked it out yet, and you're located around SoCal, be sure to check it out next year, as it's a wonderful way to celebrate haunted attractions, mask & creature creators, and all things horror, while getting in the spirit of Halloween during early August. Thanks for inviting us once again, ScareLA, and see ya in 2017!
