Plot: A collection of creepy tales from two of the most prominent figures in horror history.

Review: Ah Creepshow... who in their right mind doesn't love this classic horror anthology flick? The film contains five stories based on the classic horror comics of the 1950s and it's a collaboration between Stephen King and George Romero. There's honestly not much more a horror fan could ask for in a film.

The first tale is called "Father's Day" and features one of my favorite zombies in cinematic history. Why? Because he's the only zombie in history to come back from the grave because he simply wanted his Father's Day cake. He also has an incredible voice... you won't find many zombies that can speak as well as this guy.

Next is a crowd favorite, "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill", which actually stars Stephen King as a bumbling hick who finds a meteorite. But when he touches it, he notices that it has infected him with some kind of strange plant virus. Oh Jordy, you lunkhead!

"Something to Tide You Over" story features Ted Danson and Leslie Nielsen. I know having the guy who starred in the Naked Gun films in a horror movie doesn't sound all that scary, but trust me, it's a great lil' horror tale about revenge and zombies from the sea.

Next up, we have "The Crate" which is probably my least favorite of the stories. There is a monster stored away in a mysterious crate, and when it's unleashed it starts killin' people. There are some good monster kills 'n all, don't get me wrong, the story just drags a little bit too much for my liking.

Last but not least, we have "They're Creeping Up On You", features a rich old guy who treats everybody like dirt. He also happens to hate bugs. Well, some bugs are about to teach him a lesson in manners.

All in all, it's one hell of a fun collection of little horror tales. Great casting, extremely cool voices, and fantastic lighting all make this movie a nearly perfect translation of something you'd see in an old horror comic. Be sure to check it out this Halloween season if you haven't already seen it before. The sequel is a lot of fun too, just stay the hell away from part 3 since it's pure dreck made to cash in on the classic Creepshow name.
