There's a good reason for that:

You could heal your dead limbs. Nanotech

This would be good news, but my Wii has been collecting dust for the last 6 months.

I'd be playing it more if I had the 50 bucks to fork out for Okami.

Srs, full price for a port of a two year old game? You are BASTARDS, Capcom.

Buying a Wii is like putting effort into a relationship that just isn't going to work out. You spend all that time in the persuit. "Hard to get" concept. Then when you finally get your hands on it, you realize how immature it really is. You slowly grow apart. Then it tried to lure you back in with ideas of the past (i.e. Punch out, Zelda). But you realize that you don't need it to enjoy those moments again (emulator) and the seperation continues until you don't even bother to turn her on anymore and in return, she doesn't make your little joystick vibrate. But no bother, because you have others that can get that done for you.

Exactly this. I bought a Wii for Smash Bros. And possibly Metroid Prime and No More Heroes. But unless Nintendo releases a truckload of instant classics, I don't see myself buying more than 10 games for this thing over its lifespan.

Unless they release a Wii version of Rez. I would have to buy three copies because the first two would be ruined by me masturbating on them.

I always thought of the Wii as a light-console for light-gamers such as stressed daddies and their kids and wifes...friend of mine has one (although he is no daddy ) and all the thing does is collect dust.

Emu is right, there are simply no games for the thing and with Nintendo´s new credo "Let´s get all the people who don´t know a decent Videogame to buy our little console" I don´t think that will change anytime soon.

It doesn´t even make sense. Take Metroid Prime or No more Heroes. No "normal" Person would or even COULD play them. Too complicated and complex for their inaccurate normal-person-hands. So naturally Nintendo is not really interested in releasing anything else than these simple "look-you-can-whiggle-with-the-remote" games like Sports and stuff like that.

I see what they tried to do and aparently many people like that, but I prefer to play my Videogames with my eyes and my hands, while sitting perfectly still on my comfy gaming-chair.

Yeah, for the most part, my Wii is just there to play games I can't on my computer.

It'd be a different story if people stopped releasing fucking shovelware for it and started making some actual games.

Besides, it's not really the console itself that's the problem, it's the fact that nobody knows what the fuck they're supposed to do with it.

I had one briefly, but I wound up selling it because there were only a handful of games that I was interested in getting. It's been almost a year since, and there still aren't any new additions to that handful.

I bought the Wii on future potential. I've kind of reverted to my PS2 library now, upgrading it and playing through stuff I missed while picking up Wii games on occasion. In my case it's not the Wii's fault I don't play it very often--I doubt I'd be playing the 360 or PS3 much either.

For me it's more that a lot of the stuff I love is dying out. Rhythm games without actual instruments are pretty rare now and platform games have almost dried up completely. The Banjo series is moving toward vehicular customization or some shit, the Sly Cooper series is terrible after the first game, the Jak trilogy is over now and Mario games coming out once every seven years. The R&C games are about the only ones left and I hear the new ones are dull as hell. I can play Fallout 3 on my PC and I'm not interested in the new direction the Silent Hill games are going.

The trend right now seems to be in first and third person shooters, games I've never really been all that excited about. Above all else, it seems like it's not that I'm necessarily bored with my Wii, I'm just bored with the industry. The only thing I'm truly excited for right now is the Pikmin makeover, what with the new game and the remake. Other than that, though...

I haven't played the Wii in months. I'm tempted to sell it or trade it in towards a PS3.

One of these days the industry is going to crash horribly, and then from the rubble a post-apocalyptic society of indie developers will make new and interesting IPs that are about something other than gritty, heavily armored soldiers in gray and brown combat zones who throw grenades with the left trigger. Suda51 will be crowned the KING of this society.

That is my prophecy.

I also blame Halo for everything.

Too bad Suda can't make good gameplay. Art shouldn't get in the way of fun.

Yes, I'm putting down Killer7 and No More Heroes.
