Buying a Wii is like putting effort into a relationship that just isn't going to work out. You spend all that time in the persuit. "Hard to get" concept. Then when you finally get your hands on it, you realize how immature it really is. You slowly grow apart. Then it tried to lure you back in with ideas of the past (i.e. Punch out, Zelda). But you realize that you don't need it to enjoy those moments again (emulator) and the seperation continues until you don't even bother to turn her on anymore and in return, she doesn't make your little joystick vibrate. But no bother, because you have others that can get that done for you.

Exactly this. I bought a Wii for Smash Bros. And possibly Metroid Prime and No More Heroes. But unless Nintendo releases a truckload of instant classics, I don't see myself buying more than 10 games for this thing over its lifespan.

Unless they release a Wii version of Rez. I would have to buy three copies because the first two would be ruined by me masturbating on them.

I always thought of the Wii as a light-console for light-gamers such as stressed daddies and their kids and wifes...friend of mine has one (although he is no daddy ) and all the thing does is collect dust.

Emu is right, there are simply no games for the thing and with Nintendo´s new credo "Let´s get all the people who don´t know a decent Videogame to buy our little console" I don´t think that will change anytime soon.

It doesn´t even make sense. Take Metroid Prime or No more Heroes. No "normal" Person would or even COULD play them. Too complicated and complex for their inaccurate normal-person-hands. So naturally Nintendo is not really interested in releasing anything else than these simple "look-you-can-whiggle-with-the-remote" games like Sports and stuff like that.

I see what they tried to do and aparently many people like that, but I prefer to play my Videogames with my eyes and my hands, while sitting perfectly still on my comfy gaming-chair.
