What the fuck is the arguement for Jigglypuff not returning? That she came out of a pokeball, like she does in the original? The only reason we are to believe that ANY character isn't to return is based on the fact they said they were going to do away with the clone moveset characters.

Jigglypuff's not a clone, and she's not Young Link. She's here to stay, baby! The people that are theorizing she's not returning are just haters.

The reason that doesn't make sense, though, is because Jigglypuff wouldn't have been playable at E4All, meaning that she couldn't have had her character intro right out of a Pokéball.

I for one have no doubt she'll be back, but I just don't wanna be too optimistic. She's my best character ;_;

Maybe she was a computer opponent? I am almost positive they won't take her out, man. Well, I really don't have any idea. But why would they take her out? She was on the original line up, and she certainly was one of the most original, more powerful characters.

Hey something just occured to me. Are there even going to be secret/unlockable characters this time? If theres gonna be multiplayer online I don't really see how its feasible other than limiting your opponents to people who've unlocked the exact same set as you, which is just silly. Also this would make sense sicne the current revealed character roster is pretty dang large and theres no mention of unlocking anyone.

Okay seriously, how many times have you been playing a game and unlocked a "secret" character and actually been like "WOAH I didn't know this character was in this game!!!!1." Dr. V's right. The point of a "secret" or "hidden" character is much more to extend replay value by giving you something to work towards rather than to actually be a surprise.

When I first got Melee, I thought Game & Watch was going to be playable Mr. Hands. Because, I mean.. It had watch in the name & hands have watches

Nintendo needs to pull a Twilight Princess and just release this for the GC, considering 90% of the people that are going to purchase it are just going to play it with GC controllers. It seems kind of silly that they're going to release it for the Wii, when I already have a Wii without the little motion censors. Weak. The Wii is just a ploy to sap $200 out of my wallet.
