It's a mixture of 1/4th water and 3/4ths lighter fluid in a beer bottle. We spray the beer bottle and the table with the lighter fluid too, light that and then keep stoking the table with more fluid until the water starts to boil and sends steam/lighter fluid up through the spout in bursts, some of them cultivating in a fireball. Some have been as high as 15 feet.

It is dangerous though since sometimes the bottle will get too hot, like if the lighter fluid gets on the bottle instead of the wood when stoking it. That causes the bottle to explode sometimes, other times just fall apart. Plus there's the whole fire hazard. We keep a hose nearby just in case. We figured this out when water got into the lighter fluid after a rain and we decided to just pour it into a bottle and light the bottle on fire.

i work two part-time jobs. one is at the revolving museum which is a non-profit youth arts organization. i teach a class called artbotics which combines art, computer science, and robotics to create kinetic sculptures. that green face you saw in the background of my photo was a piece i made for this mini-golf event we had. each hole had some sort of kinetic part to it. that one was a tunnel (the face's mouth) and when the ball went through the tunnel the eyes looked back and forth

Usually we're limited by both the original sprite size and the 3 color maximum (2 colors if you include the black outline). I mean, if you're going to create a big walking dick instead of the original character, it's a lot easier and you can make it look better, like my recent "Unified Army of Testes Vs. The Nazi Unicorn Super Squad", but if you only have a single 8x8 block, the dicks gonna look bad no matter what. Plus crudely drawn cocks are pretty funny.

I usually use a trace logger if I'm going to be changing properties like health and it really is some trial and error. You gotta break the game sometimes in order to get it to do what you want. Palettes are the easiest part but pointers are hard. The fun part is the actual editing of the graphics. Text isn't really something I like editing but if I do, I'm thorough. I changed every piece of text in Earthbound Zero when I made Red Rocket.
