Watching the 90s Hulk cartoon on Netflix. The voice acting is by far some of the worst I've ever heard. It's really fucking atrocious, with a couple exceptions. Hearing Ferrigno say "friend?" over and over is really annoying. She-Hulk is pretty much purring her lines, and Luke Perry does a voice.

I'm watching this pretty awesome show called Eden of the East.

The main character wakes up naked in front of the Whitehouse with nothing to his name but a gun and a cellphone. He eventually learns he wiped his own memory for reasons unknown, and that his phone connects him to a woman who can grant absolutely any request immediately, from assassination to manipulation of government installations. It's also got about 8 billion yen in digital money on it, which he's required to spend on saving Japan, or die. He's one of 12, all competing to be the one who survives.

It's pretty awesome.

Caught up with always sunnies and started back on season 1...so went through everything in like a month or so. When you contrast the last season with the first season it's kind of bizarre how different they are...they all looked so young at the beginning (Dee looked like a different person), and Charlie morphed into sort of a screamy cartoon over the seasons. He actually talks somewhat normally at the beginning.

There's nothing more jarring than going through Sunny and starting over. Everyone is pretty much a normal human being at the beginning and Dee is the voice of reason. Even DeVito is basically normal when he shows up.

I watched done interview with charlie day about a script they came up with to fuck with devito.

Frank goes to jail then gets gang raped by a gang. Then he reports the gang rape to the c.o.'s. The c.o's proceed to gang rape frank which is the irony.

Devito declined and spoke to his lawyer.

What, really? That's where the line is crossed for DeVito? Part of what makes him so hilarious is that he doesn't seem to have any inhibitions about losing his dignity.

It weirds me out a little that they're all really married to each other, I kind of wish I didn't know that

I'm just starting the second season now, and while it doesn't seem to stick to the actual premise of being in a community college much, it's still reasonably funny.

I used to sort of like it, but it's had a dignity leak ever since they brought in the merchandise and the Coors Light Crab Count.

I also don't know how anyone can watch more than two episodes of Swamp People. They trap gators, they haul gators in, they shoot gators. Over and over and over and over and over. I'm to the point where I just can't see another gator shot in the head and hauled limp-assed into a boat.

Breaking Bad is propably the best TV-series on air at the moment. That, or Boardwalk Empire. Anyways, Breaking Bad has some amazingly well crafted character development and there is always something interesting happening. It knows how to surprise the audience and that is kinda rare these days. As crime series go, it is nowhere near as good as The Sopranos or The Wire, but nothing is.

What are you babbling about? I thinks it's been excellent so far. They're establishing how Walter becomes the Kingpin. That kinda shit don't happen over night. I'm very interested how this plays out, altough the beginning of the first episode where Walt has the machinegun in his trunk seems to hint that things will go to shit. But how big of a shit we're talking here, who knows. I just hope Jesse doesn't die.

Yeah, they are dragging it out. The story should have ended with season 4.

Spoilers I guess, but not really since it's predictable.

We already knew he would be the kingpin, we already knew he would have to make good with Jesse and fix shit with his wife. The only thing "surprising" is that Ted woke up. Then again we knew that was going to happen.

Then it cuts to a scene where hes still a 35 year old black guy living inside his mothers womb because he was never born. but he's still got his afro and a t-shirt and shit.

My question about that was would he still be a 35 year old black guy inside his moms womb? Usually african children are born pink/gray just like any other race but after a few days their pigmentation starts to darken.

He didn't have a shirt on. At least from what I remember he was shirtless. And I have no idea about black babies skin pigmentation before born, but I would imagine the funnyness that them being white at first probably leads to. Shouts of "Thats not my baby! He WHITE!" and such.

One of my favorite episodes.

Just watched all the seven seasons. I thought seasons 3-5 were the best ones, but I didn't hate the last two. There were a bunch of kinda shitty episodes and I really hated the beginning of season 7, where they replaced jokes and witty dialogue with disgusting crap. The Jersey Shore episode was a good example of this. Could've lived without seeing two homeless guys in midst of anal pleasures. On the plus side, season 7 had on of the best episodes of the whole show, "Chardee McDennis: The Game of Games".

Looking forward to season 8, which starts next week if I remember correctly.

I think my alltime favorites were Chardee MacDennis and The Gang Gets Invincible, mainly because of how Charlie reacts when all of the McPoyles come out of the trailer. I also thought that Frank's Pretty Woman was a little weak plotwise but that Alanna Ubach made an amazing crack whore.

My favorite episode is the two parter, Charlie and Mac die. I especially love their testimony about having to jam a bunch of stuff into Charlie's butt or he would rape them so hard that the room would stink. Then he would eat his butt and his son's butt in the stink until his stomach was full of their butts. It's just something that I laugh about and use when I want to threaten someone.

Breaking Bad - I hold them high up as a model of how TV should be, and they fell hard in my opinion. Good things can't last forever I guess.

The Closer ended a while ago and I loved the show. Probably because it's based around where I live.

Eat a butt. Breaking Bad is as good as ever in my opinion.

As good as Dexter.

Dexter is shitty though :(

What makes a good tv series? Interesting characters that have an interesting story to tell. Right? Am I wrong on this and stand alone?

Breaking Bad used up the main character stories and back plots rather quickly. Thanks god they had a few other really interesting people with stories than spanned their whole lifetimes. Oh wait, they just killed them. I guess we get to hear more about Jessie's crazy drug life and Mr. Whites OH SO INSANE MARRIED LIFE.

Honestly, I can't remember them anymore. I just remember being annoyed at these stupid little mistakes the episodes kept having. Also, I hated the episode where Dexter's brother, or the "dark passenger" came to visit and Dex shot a road sign for some reason, fucked a minor and became all moustache twirling evil for one episode. Then they just pressed reset at the end and it was never mentioned again. The other characters acted kinda out of place too. What the hell was with that dope smoking scene with Batista and that asshole Quinn? It was not funny, it had nothing to do with anything and again, it was never mentioned after that. And what the hell was the point of Mos Def? He just babbled some cliched christian philosophy and then got shot. Nothing ever came of it, except Dexter killed some dude. Blah.

Anyhoo, the opening of season 7 was suprisingly pretty good! And Ray Stevenson is awesome, so thats another big plus right there.

In what way are they out of ideas? You say that one post then complain that Gus is dead in the next. The show would be awful if he was still alive. And how can you complain that you can predict 10 (Oh gee, only 10?) possible ways the show can play out in its final season? You wouldn't get the last 20 minutes of a film and say "it's so obvious either X will happen, and if not it's one of these 9 other things "

I thought the train heist episode was awful, and because there are only a certain amount of episodes left with limited time to set up new storylines the pacing has been way too fast, but the last three episodes of this run were just as good as it's always been. Anyone who thinks it's any worse now than it was before for writing reasons is forgetting that the show has always been pretty ridiculous at times, like the terminator cousins from season 3 as one example.

Tadao
Oct 15th, 2012, 03:36 PM

Krythor
Oct 15th, 2012, 05:31 PM
Why specifically 10? You could predict 100 things, it makes no difference. The person writing the thing has to predict at least one ending in order to write it. If something that made absolutely no sense happened it would be unpredictable, and it would be terrible, like most of the prog rock you listen to.

Breaking Bad: I still love the show but I have to admit I didn't like most of season 4. Jesse being 'conflicted' wasn't very interesting to me, he was like an anime heroine who can't decide which bishonen she truly loves (bishonens = balding geezers). And now Jesse is super smart? It makes sense logically that he'd pick up a thing or two from Walt but it doesn't sit right with me. Him being the voice of reason in season 5 bothered me as well. Honestly I've come to really dislike Jesse.

Also Dexter is terrible. A few weeks ago I went to Dexter season 7 on wikipedia and the last episode was titled "Surprise, Motherfucker". It was a prank. It tricked me into watching two episodes. They sucked.

Show got shit in Series 6, probably because it started being more about the Doctor and his companions as characters than it is about their adventures in horrorspace. Steven Moffat specifically said that was the point of the show once, but I guess he forgot when he took it over.

That one with the planet full of insane Daleks was almost good but I was literally punching myself in the face throughout all the Rory/Amy melodrama bullshit.

Then again the show's problem since the 60's has been that only about a third of the episodes/serials are actually good. Last one I really loved was Gangers.

Yeah, a few years ago, I started collecting the DVD sets after not having seen the show in years, and it was remarkable how great it still was. I stopped collecting after the fourth or fifth season, though. I can't remember why, but I guess I should've held off a bit longer. It wasn't until I got to Episode 5 (Tobias' episode) that I got into it. There really are some awesome episodes in the season, but it took getting used to the format. I'm really hoping that there's a season 5 with a normal order because this one impressed me so much in the end.

Only through episode 2 of season 4. I think they aren't doing season 5, just a movie so far.

Anyone watch Nathan For You? I was laughing hysterically through some of the shit he did on the show. I love this bit:

It's awesome that it's getting a season 2 also. I was surprised since they didn't pick up Jon Benjamin Has A Van, I just assumed this one would get dumped also.

Season 3? Its only the first half of book 3 and feels a bit rushed / condensed. But the finally should be really fucking good and next season should be bad fucking ass! :)

Arrested Development season 4 started off sooooo fucking badly. I've been waiting for that episode of Game of Thrones for like two years now. Everyone's angry! Hooray!

Is that how it happens in the books. I like the way things happen in this show.

The very first thing that happens when shit hits the fan is absent from the book. Everything else is pretty close, though with minor differences. A jester gets killed in the book, for example.

The prego bitch isnt even there in the book. She and the Blackfish stayed at Riverrun. Also, in the book, its very unclear if she is pregnant at all. And yeah, Cat cuts a retarded jester nephew of Lord Frey not his teenage wife. I was happy they did the Wolf head thing.

Also, Arya killing that dude in the woods better not replace one of the best moments from the book. I will be SUPER pissed. >:

I remember going through that area really quick in the book. Like it was two pages.

Math = two pages of chars dying = 2 weeks of internet rage.
