I hate it. The first three episodes or so were pretty great. The characters were interesting and you really felt for the main character. The came the chicken episode and after that it was just group hugs, annoying shit and pussy jokes. The show had a somewhat realistic approach to prison drama, but suddenly all that was thrown away, and we get poorly written "Oz" with poop humor and tampons.

Dexter: So it's finally over. For the last six years I've been watching this show in absolute suspense, every season wondering the same thing, "is it gonna get good again, like the first two seasons?" It fucking doesn't.

What bothers me most about Dexter is that it was a success. Shouldn't everybody loath this shit, the show has soap opera level writing. That a writer could list Dexter on their resume and that would be a boon instead of the shameful mark of a hack really disgusts me.

I have to watch the first two seasons again to see if it really ever was any good because I cannot account for the insane drop in quality that follows.

Dexter and his sister were the same person and the psychiatrist was helping to connect the two together. Thus the love of each other and the pulling apart to be an entity or whatever. When I started watching the last half of the season I realized how sad the writing is and they couldn't do anything interesting.

Breaking Bad

The final few episodes were amazing. The ending itself was maybe played a little too safe, but it tied the series together nicely. Now I have nothing to watch, except for Boardwalk Empire. :/

I had a few HUGE problems with the Breaking Bad ending...so much so that reflecting upon them they make me dislike the ending a little bit.

Dexter, on the other hand....was absolutely pitiful. I gave up on that show after the Trinity Season. It could have and should have ended there.

I didn't hate Coven but I did think it was weak compared to Asylum and Murderhouse. An obvious problem with it is it's hub locale is really boring, so the show is visually less interesting.

How good a season of American Horror Story is is probably based mostly on luck since I think the writers are doing a stream of consciousness thing. New concepts are introduced endlessly but never really built up on, that's why their conclusions seem weak or forced or even out right missing. Coven is especially bad about this, the only story arc that felt complete and satisfying was the ex-husband witchhunter bit.

I got Netflix and Hulu w/ HBO Max and Amazon Prime w/ IMDbTV and Disney+ and also what we can't find on any of those we'll try to find on Youtube with some Russian shithead filming his TV on Betamax and hopefully we don't see his dick in the frame :( :eek

Meanwhile we have to keep stopping my four-year-old from watching those trillions of youtube videos from India where the fucking soccer balls are bouncing on the colored eggs with Peppa Pig characters on them otherwise she'll grow up to be a moron. >:

Anyway there's so much on my list to watch that I don't have time for anymore that it's overwhelming so I'm watching a bunch of Simpsons :( I really want to try Queen's Gambit though
