It doesn't get much dumber than this. I don't know why I expected any better though, given the retarded premise. I laughed at the scene with the sandwich, so I guess thats a plus. Other than that, it stinks.

Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford

Must've been the fifth time i've seen this. One of my favourite movies ever. I can't quite figure out why I like this so much. It's just hypnotizing to watch and the soundtrack is awesome.

I've always liked Danny Boyle movies (Sunshine and Trainspotting being my favourites), and this is no exception. Very suspensful, especially since I didn't read anything about the story the movie was based on. I now have enormous respect for James Franco. He was amazing in this. Also, a big plus for the you-know-what scene. It was kinda hard to watch.

Just re-watched High Noon with Gary Cooper. Goddamn, that is an awesome movie. And the politics surrounding it are pretty interesting too.

The fact that the movie is shot in real time (movie is 1:25 long, and takes place over 1:25) blows me away every time, because I think it was the first movie to do that.

The Bourne Identity

Never watched any of the Bourne flicks, so I decided to give them a chance. A solid thriller. Not very memorable, but it was well paced and some of the action scenes were kinda cool. Clive Owen's character was the best part of the movie, but he got too little screen time. Gonna watch the sequel tomorrow.

The Uncanny. It's a pretty decent anthology movie.
The strange part is that the wrap-around story talks about how evil cats are, whereas the cats are sort of just punishing the wicked in all three cases.

Was watching the CHILLER station and they had a movie about the BTK(Bound Torture Kill) Killer. This was amazing to watch because it looked like it was made in the '80's but ended up being 2008.

Backdraft

I saw this when I was a kid and loved it. Not so much anymore. It still had some nostalgic charm, but it's really just a mindless popcorn flick with cheesy dialogue and overacting. I give it a plus for the plot, which is not as cliched as one might expect (it's still kinda cliched, though). Watchable.


Beneath Hill 60

Australian movie about WW1. That immediately got my attention, since WW1 isn't really used in films these days. WW2 on the other hand, fucking hell just stop it already. Beneath Hill 60 was about soldiers digging tunnels beneath the german lines. It was quite claustrophobic at times and the war looked as dirty and gritty as it propably was. Considering the small-ish budget, the effects were very well done and acting was pretty solid all the way through. It seemed to drag a little at times, but it was a good movie.


The Bourne Supremacy

MEH. I dunno what happened. The first one was good, but this looked like it was filmed by a hyperactive teenager on meth. There was a cut every 10 microseconds and it really started to grind my gears me halfway through the movie. A couple of cool scenes, but nothing special. Going to watch the third one soon.

2008 remake of House with Michael Madsen. It was produced by Fred Dekker, but this is one of those Lion's Gate films. It's a remake that has nothing to do with the original. I still enjoyed it overall. 3/5.

Actually it's a not a remake of the original 1986 House movie, it's based off the 2007 book by Frank Peretti. As you said, the only thing in common is the title.

After the movie people were walking out saying how philosophical event it was in film making and storytelling.

Then in the parking lot of the theater some fool had to do a 3 point turn to get out of a regular parking space. I can only imagine he was subjected to the same garbage and caused a lapse in driving skill for him.

He was okay, but there were pretty massive plotholes and numerous stuff that was mentioned and never paid off. But damned if they didn't nail EVERY. SINGLE. RELEVANT. PRODUCT. PLACEMENT.

Think Willy Wonka meets Santa Claus: The Movie meets a 2 hour long commercial with some bloated guest stars thrown in and you have Hop.

Shutter Island for a second time. I was able to figure out concretely what was going on about halfway through the first time watching it. Watching it through the second time I mainly watched everyone else besides dicaprio and its almost like watching a different movie.

I thought it totally ripped off the whole Santa Claus thing. I went as far as to mentally tie in Santa Claus: The Movie with Dudley Moore with Arthur with Russell Brand, although I know that's not particularly fair. I thought the whole thing was a little too dead-on and they should have worked a bit harder to come up with a different background and "legend".

Still haven't seen Arthur. Kind of afraid to. It's like when I went back to my favorite childhood fast food place and the food was shit and there was a full inch of dust on the ceiling fans :( Ok, not like that at all but MY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS REAL.

My mom was watching Burlesque so I caught the first few minutes. How horrible. First of all, Christina Aguilera is getting too old for ingenue grade stuff (and Cher is 65 and can barely move her face!).
