Beat Twilight Princess with all the hearts, bugs, and other upgrades. Loved it.

Playing through Zelda II right now, because it's the only Zelda I never beat. I'd like it a lot if it weren't for the fact that some enemies require ESP in order to beat. I'm talking about those cunts with the shields. Also, the randomly appearing/disappearing enemies.

That's where I am now. But the old guy told me to go look in the woods because the city is dead, so...I guess I need to go to the woods because the city is dead.

Wait, nevermind. There's a palace hidden on the beach. You need to play the flute near some rocks. Weird.

Anywho, I've been playing a lot of DSiWare now that the service is picking up. Pictobits and Cube Life are probably the best Art Style games released so far, and Mighty Flip Champs is surprisingly addictive and made by WayForward (the Contra 4, Boy and His Blob guys). Each of those is totally worth the $5.

This sort-of dating sim where you have to take care of your terminally ill little sister, and every time she dies it is YOUR FAULT. And since there's only one ending where she lives and like a billion others, she dies a lot.

I was really disappointed. The entire game was hard as fuck, but Dark Link was the easiest enemy of them all. I spent forever trying to land one blow on the Iron Knuckles, but Dark Link died in under a minute. Lame!

Ah well. Playing King of Fighters 2002 since I won't be able to play the new one or BlazBlue until my PS3 comes back. Also more Wii Sports Resort, because it's more fun than I expected.

I've been very interested in The Empire Strikes Back for NES. It's a pretty fun game actually, some levels are more like a platformer while others can be a little more brute and strategic. It's a massive improvement over the first installment from JVC from their first Star Wars game.

A little Dungeon Hack at work. A very nice game AND you don´t have a goddamned Party to look out for. One Dungeon - One Adventurer, that´s how it has to be.

Also played some Fat Princess yesterday. Not as simple as I feared which is nice, but finding a match online takes forever and the bots are rather stupid. But at least it has bots...BF 1943 could use some.

Mega Man Zero? Mega Man X games were the last ones I played. After they tried that whole 3D thing I found it hard to care anymore.

Phoenix Gamma
Aug 6th, 2009, 09:52 AM
The Zero series is a continuation of the X series, only now X disappeared and Zero needs to help humans defeat an army of X Clones that are going crazy. The gameplay is ripped right out of the original X games (so you dash, wall climb, and all that good stuff), except now Zero has the z buster, the sword, a boomerang shield, and another item that changes from game to game.

Zero doesn't get a crazy new weapon after every boss, but he gets a few elemental equips which do more damage to certain enemies and bosses. Then his weapons level up as you use them, so you get new abilities that way.

They're good games and worth checking out if you liked the SNES X series. The Japanese version is particularly interesting because it's got a shitload of blood, which is really weird to see in a Mega Man game.

Well, the only other Batman I played was Returns on the SNES, and the difference is that Adventures is just side scrolling; there's no 8 directional movement like in Returns, Turtles in Time, Castle Crashers, etc. So you literally only bump into one guy at a time because the only place they can come from is dead ahead. So there's no real skill to it at all.

I like it. The physics are awesome and I like the handling on the cars, altough they required a little time to get used to. The only thing that annoys me, is that the police want to arrest you for every little thing you do. Yeah, I get that they went for a little more realistic approach compared to previous games, but it saddens me that I can't even hit a bum with a baseballbat without getting in to trouble. That's balanced by how easy it is to evade wanted stars, I think. I never used the spray shops because hiding outside of the circle is so easy.

The best things to do in that game are pushing people over and standing on them until they die and hurling yourself out of moving vehicles into cars coming the opposite direction.

Went over my buddy's house last night. He had a leaked copy of Arkham Asylum, so we stayed up and marathoned the second half of the game.

Probably the best liscenced game since Goldeneye. They nailed everything from the Batman lore perfectly. As you progress, his batsuit actually gets ripped and shredded, and stays like that, so by the end of the game, Batman looks like he just walked to hell and back.

The last boss is...kinda...I dunno. I wouldn't have gone that direction, that's for sure. But the rest of the game is really solid. Combat is still more or less "Hit Square and Triangle to win", but some parts get a little nuanced. Stealth is definitely way better, but the combat isn't bad.

Eh, I'd give it an A-.

EDIT:Also, GamesRadar's review shows the game over screen if you lose to Bane. Fucking perfect.

Eight's characters tend to be either obnoxious or bland and forgettable. Zell's Around-the-World is cool though.

Played Rule of Rose, I can understand what all the controversy was about now, most disturbing game I've ever played. It's also the first game I've played that's simulated what it's like to be bullied. Most games are built on a sort of reward system, this is especially important for a choir like Rule of Rose. And although you are rewarded with a cinema-scene after every tedious, tedious, scavenger hunt; your character usually gets harassed for her troubles ("it's the onion bag for you").

P.S. I so underrated the multi-player mode. It's a bit unbalanced (playing as Giga Mac kinda sucks since he can't dodge, can be One-Hit Knockdowned, and can't do a fourth recover), but for a rough presentation of what a full-fledged Punch-Out!! multiplayer could be like, it's a damn lot of fun.

Find it. It's got the cheesiest and most annoying cutscenes ever, but luckily it doesn't put emphasis on the story anywhere else. The gameplay is awesome; you go from wiping out zombies in a Dark Age city infested with plague (and witches, apparently), to fighting whole sects of ax-wielding monks, to a level that can only be described as an Iron Maiden album cover in game form.

Which one?

I was looking for my copy the other day and its missing so I might be downloading this from XBOX live soon.
Conquerers Expansion. The El Cid campaign kicks ass.

I'm playing Batman (which kicks so much ass) and Soul Calibur IV (which sucks terribly). Can't always win right?

eIGSYsTikmoI didn't think anything that let you play as Darth Vader could suck.

Batman rocked. The end was the only thing I had an issue with. :\

Not so much that Joker injected himself with the titan stuff. Which is apparently what a lot of people had an issue with? The fact he just stood there with his back to Batman. Really? You going to count on your henchmen that have been doing such a bang up job so far? :rolleyes

Just beat Infamous. That game kicked ass. Much better than Prototype in my opinion.

FF4 on the Gameboy Advance.

No matter what way I look at it, this is still a shit-tier Final Fantasy.

Scribblenauts AND Mario&Luigi 3 were leaked today. Best day ever.

(also a english patch for the Japanese Pokemon Gold/Silver Remakes, but I don't think anyone here cares :()

Scribblenauts is pretty amazing, but the controls aren't as great as I'd like. Still an awesome novelty.

Iīd rather say 4 was the first GOOD Final Fantasy. 1-3 on the other hand are terrible in my opinion. Of the three older ones (4,5,6), I still like 5 the best because of the job-system.

Yeah, I just started playing 5 for the first time and once I realized you could combine classes I went into super nerd mode and my team ended up so hardcore that even bosses are a three-turn joke. I think my favorite is the Berserker with the passive two-handed axe weilding, which does about 800 damage.

But overpowered as hell is the only way to play through any of the Final Fantasies. Which is also why I like 8. I always go completely apeshit with the Junction system and get 9999 health for everyone by Disc 2 :picklehat

Ghostbusters was ok I guess, it ran like shit on PC though. Somehow I managed to beat Dead Space in less than 5 hours when I got it, it never scared me once which kinda pissed me off. Can anyone recommend something on 360?
