Apparently you can also use craigslist to break people:

http://dayton.craigslist.org/rnr/1096718211.html

This woman posted...oh, god knows what...about the time I did my garage sale thing. She gives "lingerie massages" out of her home. These people have been fucking with her for the past week or so, to the point where she was actually waiting on her porch to confront challengers after giving her address and her picture (photo ID?).

Funny thing was, she was really standing out there.

Today was the day she started typing in caps and actually becoming incoherent. Score one for the craigslist readers. I mainly just think it's sad, they've been baiting her too much and should just leave her alone.

Babs

I was just in Springfield and Dayton yesterday. Maybe I encountered this woman with bipolar.

Kitsa
Mar 28th, 2009, 07:26 PM
She's in Piqua, a straight shot up 75 from Dayton. You were probably on 70.

Babs
Mar 28th, 2009, 07:30 PM
Yeah, I was on 70 the whole time actually. Life fails to entertain me on the way.

Kitsa
Mar 28th, 2009, 07:33 PM
There's not a hell of a lot to entertain on 70. I could have told you where to get some good ice cream, though.

Babs
Mar 28th, 2009, 07:41 PM
I might be going through their again soon so you should totally tell me anyways. I wanted to stop by Foy's but I don't know if it's seasonal or what.

Kitsa
Mar 28th, 2009, 07:48 PM
Foy's is year-round. It's better to go now because it's packed at Halloween and it's more fun to browse at your leisure.

Young's is a good ice cream/petting zoo place. In the summer, they sell "trash can" ice cream, which is neon purple, smells like play-doh and is made of all the leftover scraps that go into the rest of the ice cream.

http://www.youngsdairy.com/

If you go straight south on 75 through Dayton, you will shortly come to Touchdown Jesus:

http://www.jeeeb.us/

Who is flanked on either side of the freeway by two truly magnificent flea markets, open year round but only on weekends.

There's a gigantic Hustler store at that same exit if you're into that.

Keep going south and you'll be in the general vicinity of the most fanfuckingtastic place in existence, Jungle Jim's.

http://www.junglejims.com/

maaaaaaaaaaaaybe 45 mins south of Dayton, but worth the side trip.

Babs
Mar 28th, 2009, 07:59 PM
:lol The giant Jesus!! I totally forgot about that bastard and his lady of the like mergingness!

Oh man, Young's seem so brilliant and a suicide of deliciousness, why haven't I even been to place yet?

By the way, do these flea markets you speak of house some hidden gems? As well, would you know where their exact locations might be?

Kitsa
Mar 28th, 2009, 08:12 PM
They're right by the giant Jesus, same exit. If you're heading southbound, Trader's World (http://www.tradersworldmarket.com/frames.html) will be on your left and Treasure Aisles (http://www.turtlecreeks.com/) will be on the right. Both got raided last year for counterfeit purses.

Treasure Aisles is the old Turtle Creek under new management; I haven't been there since it changed. All I know is that it's now pirate-themed, with masts set up in the parking lot.

The inside stuff is more or less your standard dirtmall junk; go early in the morning on a nice day for the outdoor vendors, I've found all kinds of cool shit there. Best time I ever went was when I had just gotten out of the ER and was stoned on pain meds. I was stumbling around and walked off with I can't even remember what.

Young's is very close to the place I'm having my gallery show this summer, btw. Like 5 mins from it.

Babs
Mar 28th, 2009, 08:47 PM

For mysterious chemical reasons unknown to me, starbucks coffee and excedrin take away my horrible, horrible pain when expensive drugs will not. This is why I go to starbucks.

However, I usually get my fix via a $7 bag of it, which I make myself at home and avoid looking like a tool.

they're goldfish and we've only had them for about three week, at most.

the water's also cloudy on account of we had taken out enough water to easily lift the tank and put it on the modified stand.

it kind of looks lame in the daytime but at night it looks sweeeeeet with the lights coming out of the bottom. there's also a bubble wand along the back wall so the whole thing is covered in rising bubbles.

Kitsa
Mar 29th, 2009, 03:38 PM
LOL

It's cool. Goldfish slime and shit a lot, though, you'll always be cleaning it.

I can't stand starbucks canned drinks. They don't do anything for me and they don't taste that great. I drink "bold" roasts as strong as possible with a tiny bit of nonfat milk to cut the bitterness, and when you combine that and excedrin it makes pain go byebye, for me, for some reason.

Shrubfest

That's one of four tanks we have, actually. That one's just cool because my dad installed the lights in the stand so they come up from beneath the tank. That one's basically just a simple goldfish tank.

We also have a pretty sweet community fish tank and a 55-gallon that currently has five small semi-aggressive fish (that tank will probably become an African chiclid tank), and there's a ten gallon tank that two of the goldfish were in in my sister's room, she's currently in the process of turning it into a little bi-quarium.

When I lived with Ashley we had like 15 little fish in a 5-gallon hex. It was awesome.

There are many spectator-experts out there if you know what I mean.

I don't keep aquariums a lot because I can't stand cleaning them, it messes with my OCD too much. I used to raise tons of reptiles and amphibians (I once had a colony of over 45 tree frogs, until a new guy whose redleg didn't show up till he was out of quarantine wiped out the whole population). My personal favorites were always veiled chameleons, but I won't raise them again until I can afford the absolute perfect setup. I want to convert a shower stall.

Aaarg
Mar 29th, 2009, 04:24 PM
The only reptile I've ever owned was a leopard gecko named Mick Jagger.

I think having a chameleon would be pretty cool.

I don't know, though, the only pets I see in my near future (I'm movin' to NC and then living in the woods for a while in a year) is a dog.

Kitsa
Mar 29th, 2009, 04:27 PM
I have a leopard gecko right now. She's 14 and her name is Fido. Her mate, Spot, died a few years back.

Fido could have been a mother many times over, but she was a dumbass. Either that, or she performed a lot of home-abortions. She would always lay her eggs in the open, right under the heat lamp, and by the time I got to them in the morning they'd always be dried-out and unsalvageable :(

The heads fit kind of like hoods.
There's the big top part of the head with the face, and they normally have a long neck attached to be tucked under the costume.
Disney is pretty elaborate with some of theirs depending on what the character is doing.

Puttin boogie in people's butt
Are you out yo mind or something?

I say, sit on down, open your eyes
And open up your ears
Say, put a tree in your butt
Put a, a bumblebee in your butt
Put a clock in your butt
Put a big rock in your butt
Say, put some fleas in your butt
Say, start to sneeze in your butt
Say, put a tin can in your butt
Put a little tiny man in your butt
Say, put a light in your butt
Say, make it bright in your butt
Say, put a TV in your butt
Say, put me in your butt
Everybody say

[CHORUS]

I, hey, that's, man, I ain't putting no trees in nobody's butt,
no bees in nobody's butt, putting nothing--
You must be out your mind, man,
y'all get paid for doing this?
Cause y'all gotta get some kind of money
Cause this don't sound like the kind of--
I'd rather golf, to be perfectly honest,
than put somethin in somebody's butt
to be truthful

Well step aside my friend and let me
show you how you do it
When big bad E just rock rock to it
Put a case in your butt
Say, put a metal case in your butt
Say, put her face in your butt
Say, put a frown in your butt
Say, put a clown in your butt
Say, sit on down in your butt
Say, put a boat in your butt
Say, put a moat in your butt
Put a mink coat in your butt
Put everything in your butt
Just start to sing about your butt
Feels real good
When you sing about your butt, sing

[CHORUS]

The first 10 seconds of the video was awesome with my friend in a B.A. leather jacket, cowboy hat, guitar, black light and a strobe light. Right after filming it the strobe light fell and broke. So the rest of the video was shot in a hallway. I was the singer but I didn't feel like memorizing the lyrics so for close ups I just had them shake the camera around a bit so you couldn't tell I was just mouthing nonsense. Then we hit people with trashcans for the remainder of the song.

There was an elderly lady in the back of the ambulance and I'm fairly sure she was staring at us the whole time we were driving behind her. The reason publover doesn't post any more?

No dating, thanks, just sex

Dating culture is dead - instead, young New Zealand women are regularly getting drunk and cruising around in packs looking for men to have sex with.
That's one of the findings of a TVNZ Sunday investigation into the sexual behaviour of New Zealand women. The programme makers did the story after Kiwi women last year topped the Durex Sexual Wellbeing Global Survey as the world's most promiscuous.
They are reported to have an average of 20 sexual partners, double that of their Australian and British counterparts and almost three times the global average of seven.
TVNZ Sunday correspondent Janet McIntyre said there was anecdotal evidence from the five women on the show that the Durex survey findings were valid.
"There's a new kind of mating ritual sex is the point of entry into the relationship."
If the first-up sex wasn't any good women weren't prepared to waste their time progressing the relationship.
"There's no dating culture any more." In candid interviews about their sexual experiences some of the women who are all in their twenties felt empowered by having sex and wanted to celebrate and enjoy it.
McIntyre said all the women who had experienced one-night stands had been affected by alcohol, a term described by at least one expert in a report as "getting pissed and hooking up".
Men are also feeling the impact from the new sexual tactics being employed by women.
The Sunday Star-Times' Being a Bloke survey last year found that 29% of the 5000 men surveyed felt they had been pressured into having sex or had had sex unwillingly.

I just found out a big magazine used some of my photos. Yay! Then I found out they didn't credit me. Aw. :(

Yep, pretty much. It's something else to see it on film, though. Creepy. :hypno

Jesus, isn't that illegal? Or were they on "teh internets" and therefore "public domain". Either way that sucks big hairy monkey balls! Not that my opinion counts for jack shit. >:

Hell yeah it's April and there's about two inches of snow outside

The Easter season gets a well deserved kick in the cunt

We're supposed to get snow later today. I remember one spring...late May or early June...in the 90s, when we were driving in downtown Chicago and it was snowing then.

I don't know how illegal the picture thing is. The publisher of the book I worked on gave them the photos as promotions, most likely. The magazine credited the publisher for the pics, in teeny print at the bottom of the article, but didn't credit me anywhere. To the publisher's credit, she emailed me right away to let me know it had happened and that they were working on it with the magazine.

Contrast that with the last time this happened, when the author of that book gave a big magazine my high-res photos and no one told me. I knew nothing until I looked at his blog several months later and saw that I had a double full-page spread. :hypno

Either way, it costs me $100 a pop at the lawyer's to ask, so I'm better off riding it out.

I'm not looking forward to more snow whatsoever. Here's hoping to it melting quickly.

Yes, don't remind me. I already realize what a fool I was to go into the field of physical chemistry as a career - what was I thinking? Lawyers get paid while they're eating, sleeping, or taking a dump. That's the kind of job I want.

One of my attorneys used to call me, randomly, completely unsolicited. He'd say, "So, how you doing?" I'd be confused and tell him I was doing just fine.

A month later I'd get a bill for a "phone consult"....$60.

Well, seeing as I had basil and pea seedlings outside, I guess I'd better bring 'em inside. Dammit.

My wall thermometer says 35F.
