Trick-Or-Treat Adventure Quest: Download The Home Version!

Trick-Or-Treat Adventure Quest: Commander Claw fights the forces of evil on your own computer!

Remember that massive tribute to classic adventure games we released last Halloween: Trick-Or-Treat Adventure Quest? Of course you do! Chances are you're still busy trying to figure out who the hell to get some candy corn from so you can solve that C.H.U.D. quest in the sewers. Well, I just wanted to let you guys know that we've finally put up the downloadable "home version" of the game. It still has the same auto-save feature as the web version, so any progress you make will be saved even after you close the program (we tested it a bunch, but please let us know if you encounter any problems with this feature). Also, if you're on a slower computer, I *highly* recommend getting this version of the game as it will run a lot faster than the web-browser version.

You can download the game on this page:
i-mockery.com/minimocks/trickortreat-adventure-quest/

Now get back into the game as Commander Claw and save your town from evil!

While you're at it, give Ivan Drago some love too... he needs your help to clean up those crime ridden city streets.

p.s.: We're working on a new top secret game. Progress has been slow so far, but it's going to be oh so sweet when completed. More news on that later...

This game is awesome. Maybe the best adventure game since 5 Days A Stranger. Thanks for the download.

I remember getting a few really good laughs from this game. I will have to revisit it soon.

Tip to all players of the game: they went berzerk when it came to writing responses to actions. Try examining, using and even talking to everything (yesm even talking to inanimate objects) - every action-thing combination has a unique respone.

I-Mockery games are always fucking awesome.

Man did this ever remind me of playing Monkey Island on my 386 with a crummy CD reader that required "persuasion" to get it started.

I loved this game. Though, exactly as Rog predicted I'm still trying to figure out how the hell to solve the C.H.U.D puzzle.

Man, I loved this game. It reminded me of the adventure games from yesterday (the Guybrush cameo was great). As for the C.H.U.D. puzzle, here's a hint: walk 2 screens to the right of him. That's all I'll say without totally giving the actual solution away.

Hummm...ok, thanks Jonny#5.

Ashmodai, if you're truly stuck, there's a 4-part series of video walk-throughs up on Youtube that will show you how to solve each of the puzzles. I suggest everybody figures out the game on their own, but if you get stuck in one spot for too long, by all means use the walk-through to help you move forward.

Awesome, thanks for the link, RoG.

I haven't played this, but this downloadable feature you speak of makes me feel like getting saucy and giving it a shot...

Out of curiosity, is it similar to the Lucasarts adventure games in that you can't die? Being the beyond sub-par gamer that I am, I always appreciated not dying every time I did something screwy.

If it is like that, consider it downloaded!

AIF, that's EXACTLY the kind of game it is. We wanted to pay tribute to the classics like Monkey Island and King's Quest. Hope you enjoy it!

I played it when it came out, and I was SO DAMN STUCK IN THE FIRST ROOM.
But I'll try it again on the home version ^^
It's a great game from what I've seen though RoG, I don't doubt that.

I'm haunted by memories of Maniac Mansion

This game really brightened what was otherwise an uneventful Halloween. Thanks a lot!

I've just completed it! AWESOME man!
I know why I was stuck last time, I had got the magazine idea.. But didn't know I could leave the room ;.;

JJ the Jetplane, check in the basement when you figure out how to open up the door to it.

Dungeonbrownies, the Halloween game saves automatically so you don't have to spend a lot of time on it at all, just play it at your own pace. As for what we're smoking, nothing at all. My high sugar intake does the trick for me.

Count Mek, glad to hear you beat the game. Hope you enjoyed the ending!

Jonny#5 on 03/06/2008 6:05 pm

Hey Rog, is there a downloadable version of the Drago game?

User avatar

JJ the Jetplane on 03/06/2008 8:44 pm

I just beat this game, and the ending was odd. Tell me if i'm wrong, but i believe i just battled -----------omitted-----------

User avatar

Jonny#5, yeppers, it sure is!

Just go to i-mockery.com/minimocks/ivan-drago and click the download game link and Drago will be yours.

JJ the Jetplane, yes that was the correct ending, congrats on beating it. I just removed your text though so you don't spoil the ending for anybody who hasn't beaten it yet.

I always loved adventure games, but the big problem with them is that they are never fun to play through the second time

User avatar

JJ the Jetplane on 03/08/2008 7:56 pm

Haha, sorry about almost ruining the ending...

The main character looks like a young pixelated version of Conan O' Brien

Brute, that's the idea. Check the poster above his bed next time you play.

RoG, this is the best game you've worked on since Domo-Kun's Angry Smashfest! I can't wait for the next game!

Together forever and never to part
Together forever we two
And don't you know
I would move heaven and earth
To be together forever with you
