I feel for your loss Max and hope you're back on your feet soon. I can't imagine losing my father as him and I are very close and I very much look up to him. My only hope is that we either go out at the same time or I go before him so I don't selfishly have to deal with what you must be going through.

My deepest condolences. I also lost my father a long time ago, but still to this day he's always in my memories. He's the man that shaped my whole world, and i'm sure if he was anything like your father, he is very sorely missed. Just remember the good times. Never dwell on the bad. It only makes hurt stay with you. Once again sorry.

Jeez man, a death so close to Halloween.. :( that's gotta be awful, and at the same time, the original purpose of Halloween (er, more November 1st) was to honor the dead, so... it's kind of appropriate. Hopefully you think fondly of yer dad this time every year, rather than getting too sad.

Even though it may seem a little lame, death of a loved one reminds me of a quote from the movie “The Crow”: “If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live is to never stop loving them. Buildings burn, people die, but real love is forever.”

While I can only imagine the pain that must be felt, I can only hope that you will be able to look back on the memories that you had with your father and smile.
