So what did Santa leave under your Astro-Weenie Christmas Tree? Yep, you know the drill... post what gifts you received over the holidays this year so we can all be extremely jealous and decide who we need to burglarize in the future. As always, I'll post my haul soon, but since my birthday is coming up tomorrow, I'll hold off 'til after then since it all blurs together.
Okay, on with the gifts! Post lists of whatcha got and feel free to include photos of your Christmas holiday hauls! Let's see just how spoiled you bastards really are!

The really scary part is I still gotta go with the Fam to visit my Grandparents...It's not scary due to the amount of presents I will get, but rather having to drive back with the load of presents given to my 3 yr old daughter...
While we are on that topic I need to go rent a u-haul...

I got:
A ridiculously large amount of tea that I am sharing with my parents (that also doubles as a little-over-a-month-late b-day gift from my slacker-siblings)
A London Fog trench coat(black)
Box of assorted Godiva Truffles
A big bag of Wonka Candy from a good friend (Nerds, Nerd Rope, Gobstoppers, Sour Puckerooms Gummies, Sweettarts, and chocolate!)
A kick-ass skull-guitar keychain and bag o' Trader Joes chocolates from another good friend
And two of the COOLEST BOOKS EVER: Friday The 13th - Church of the Divine Psychopath (which, like all Friday The 13th books, is out of print and a great find) and Abe Lincoln - Vampire Hunter.
The "Church of the Divine Psychopath" book isn't as good as "Hate-Kill-Repeat"(check it out, it's just like one of the films), but it's still decent. I'm a bit disappointed though, because I really wanted RiffTrax and The Jeff Dunham Show DVDs for Christmas... Bah Humbug! >_missed it! D: At least now I'm back home in Georgia for New Years. :)

I got $20 from my mom and she helped me pay for the last bit of my car.
From my dad, the WWE Encyclopedia which is actually fairly sweet, and a John Lennon shirt. Other tiny things too like candy, etc.
$50 from my grandparents, and $50 from my Aunt. I'm satisfied. Ordered myself an NES Toploader with the money.

I got a lot of cool smaller stuff, but the biggest present for me was the larger TV we bought for the living room, which meant I could take the slightly smaller older TV back into my gaming room.
Oh, and the DC Comics Year by Year Visual Chronicle, which is GREAT!
(Also have Chip Kidd's new book about Shazam/Captain Marvel, but it has yet to arrive)
-RoG- on 01/05/2011 8:56 pm
Sorry for the delayed response all... I was out of town for almost two weeks in New York and I tend to avoid the Internet when visiting friends & family.
Anywho, here's what I received this year:
-Regal Cinema gift card
-Best Buy gift cards
-Amazon gift card
-Gamestop gift card
-Playstation Network gift card for my PS3
-A "How To Beat Up Anybody" humor book
-A "How To Speak Zombie" humor book
-"Splatterhouse" for the PS3
-"Pinball Hall of Fame (Williams Collection)" for the PS3
-"Executive Koala" on DVD
-"Star Crash" on Blu-ray
-Various holiday cookies & treats
-A pack of Australian treats (including Vegemite) from my Secret Santa on the forums.
Normally I don't get so many gift cards, but since we were visiting back East for the holidays, it would've been a pain to lug a bunch of gifts onto the plane back to LA... so I asked for gift cards.
The thing I like about gift cards is they force you to treat yourself. When I get cash, I'm more inclined to pay some bills rather than treat myself to a gift that I wouldn't normally buy. Now all that's left is to decide what to buy. "Dead Space 2" is definitely on the list, that's for sure.
All in all, an excellent Christmas holiday and birthday haul if I do say so!
E. K. (Guest) on 01/09/2011 1:39 pm
My favourite gift is a Boba Fett action figure from the Original Trilogy Collection. Looks appropriately retro.

Totally agree RoG, gift cards are excellent gifts exactly for the reasons you state. Shame when a cash gift just ends up paying some bill.
