Here's the latest episode of my new "Yeah, That Exists" series. This one focuses on the bizarre sounding concept of microwaveable milkshakes that originated with Micro Magic back in the eighties. Please check it out and drop a comment on Youtube to let me know whatcha think:

By the way, thanks to all of you who checked out and helped spread the word about the Lazer Blazers episode. It was really encouraging to have such a positive response to the first episode in this series, so thanks again!

I didn't think it possible to microwave a milk shake..... whoa once more i'm impressed.... kind of like the sandwich in a can you talked about before

Wow, the things we do for "convenience"! I tasted canned paellas too. It was horrible.

Glad to see the show is going on nicely.
I must say, this is the one YouTube series I follow whose credits I don't skip because the music is so awesome.
I now demand a video in which you make your eyebrows dance to the tune.

"Yes, these milkshakes have a core."
That made me laugh much, much harder than it should have.
I can believe microwavable milkshakes. I once made ice cream out of coconut milk, but I left it in the freezer too long without stirring it, so I thawed it in the microwave for a bit to give it more of a soft-serve ice cream texture.
I still don't think it's a great idea. Milkshakes aren't even difficult or time consuming to make (and you can buy them from just about any restaurant). That's human laziness for you.

Kat... it's not just a core it's "hard" core

Just discovered this series, ah nostalgia...
When I was a kid, I had the Gremlins Laser Blazers stickers. Always like the one with Stripe vaguely appearing menacingly behind Billy and Gizmo...
But more pertinently, there were a few years where we would buy Micro Magic shakes regularly. They pretty much look like they do on the ad--big and monochromatic. We'd get the chocolate ones, and they two would end up totally frozen still in the center. They tasted good though. Very similar to McDonald's milkshakes. Now I'm craving one dang it...

I miss Micro Magic Shakes! Did anybody ever try the Micro Magic fries? I heard that they were awesome.

Thanks for the feedback all. Glad you're enjoying the series so far!
Eddie - Oh yeah, the fries were surprisingly good and crispy. My mom used to buy me packs of 'em and it was great being able to easily snack on fries anytime without having to heat 'em up in the oven for a while or what have you.
