Uh oh, I watched another movie last night and one sequence made me kinda angry. And get this, I just happened to be record my reaction again. Weird coincidence, huh?

When I smoke up I just feel all happy and want to like make time walk with me instead of run bro.

I think I just peed a little...

RoG- maybe he smoked one of those joints with angel dust in them. Jay Mohr accidentally did that once. Maybe he realized that was the high point of his career and decided to make the most of it.
BatmanJohnson on 08/29/2012 8:21 pm
Rog, I will watch you shout at anything it is entertaining as hell.
Biff Spangles (Guest) on 08/29/2012 10:48 pm
I don't find these screaming at the TV videos funny in the least. This is where all the creativity that used to be put into the awesome mocks has gone? 30 seconds of yelling? I loved the articles that used to come out regularly, but these shticky bits are sort of sad compared to the depth of the old pieces. It's almost like there's no effort anymore: just toss the chumps out in web-land a bone and they'll surely declare it a porterhouse. Sigh.
Lucas D. (Guest) on 08/30/2012 9:03 pm
Given that he's wearing sunglasses indoors and laughing at something that probably isn't funny, I'd say Anthony Michael Hall, at least, seems to have had a better idea of how pot works.
Joel (Guest) on 08/31/2012 4:38 am
I must say I'm inclined to agree with Biff Spangles, I-Mockery is sadly a shadow of its former self. The production of Abobo's Big Adventure was of course unbelievably time-consuming and the end product was truly worth the wait as it is, in my opinion, a masterpiece and tremendous fun at that. However, in terms of overall output, I-Mockery pales in comparison to the way it was say 2 or 3 years ago when we regularly enjoyed lengthy, erudite, charming, passionate and most importantly funny articles not only from RoG, but also from Protoclown, Dr Boogie and Max Burbank. What we have now is the re-posting of old articles, the occasional collection of E3/SDCC photo albums, and material such as this video which unfortunately highlights the severe decline in the quality of I-Mockery's comedic output. I mean no disrespect to you RoG as I have enjoyed your articles over the years, and your dedication to your craft is unquestionable, as Abobo's Big Adventure proves. But this video just isn't funny, nor was the previous. I pray that I-Mockery returns to what it did best, and finds itself again. Bring us an update to Greatest Horror Movie Moments! Anything! Just no more videos of you shouting at things, I implore you.
Kenji on 08/31/2012 9:34 am
The complaints above are obviously coming from loving fans, and are almost exceedingly politely worded considering we're in a website's comment section, but honestly I find myself mostly disagreeing with them.
Not because I don't agree that the site's output has been in a slump recently if compared to its heyday (please don't reply accusing me of not knowing what I'm talking about, just because I've only recently made an account it doesn't mean I haven't been following this site for years now), but because I don't think we as Roger's audience can really complain about what he shares with us. As much as I'd like to see more new content in the vein of the older entries, we, to put it bluntly, simply aren't being asked money. Plus, the video shorts are, in my opinion, enjoyable and, most importantly, Roger seems to be having a blast.
Irisviel (Guest) on 08/31/2012 11:51 am
I've been reading I-Mockery since 2006, or so.
I have read all the old articles, mini-mocks, etc, and been a fan ever since finding the site, but...
I *do* have to agree with Joel and Biff on all their points.
This place has been going downhill, ever since I believe Roger started the Doc Mock web series.
At first I was put off by his videos of "Yeah, that Exists" but after watching them all, I can deal with them.
But these.... screaming clips.. are nothing but cheap gags intended to tide us over as updates with almost no effort involved.
The reason I come here is to be entertained. If I wanna be entertained by someone screaming madly at a Television, I could go do that by myself.
I miss Protoclown. I miss Burbank. The site just seems so dead lately. With very few updates.
And, Kenji: I-Mockery is a comedy site, correct?
So.. if we come here to laugh, but instead don't... then if things keep up being unfunny..?
I mean, I've been fine with the sparse updates for at least a year or so now. But the site is rather stale feeling.
I guess we will all just have to deal with it.
-RoG- on 08/31/2012 12:33 pm
I'm gonna explain this as simply as I can:
I-Mockery has been and always will be a site that evolves with whatever I feel like doing. This isn't a full-time job, this isn't something I make a truckload of money doing... it's something I do in my spare time simply because I like making people laugh and because I enjoy giving the spotlight to oddities that people may have forgotten about (or never knew about to begin with). The same goes for the other guys who used to do a lot more on here - Max has a family, Protoclown is busy at his job, etc. - they did it because they enjoyed it and had the time to do so.
When I-Mockery first started out, it was a lot of long-winded rants and mockeries of various music scenes, along with a few 80s toy and movie reviews here 'n there. When I moved on from that stuff and expanded the site to cover a wider variety of my interests almost a decade ago, there were people who complained and wanted it to go back to the way it was.
The site has gone through many phases over the years, and each time it enters a new one, there's a handful of people who want it to revert back to the "glory days" of yesteryear. Well, maybe some web sites would do something like that, but I force nothing.
I do what feels right on here, and nowadays, I'm really getting into shooting and editing videos a lot more. I put a lot of work into the "Yeah, That Exists" video series and the yelling at conventions ones. They're extremely time consuming, but I love doing them. These new short videos where I yell at the TV are a blast for me to do, and while all of you may not like them, I do. I like them a lot, in fact, and I'd rather be doing something I'm enjoying than working on a project just to please the masses. These aren't meant to be deep, thought-provoking videos, nor are they meant to replace the larger works I do... they're quick little amusements that make me and plenty of other people laugh and that's all. If you're looking for a place where a full staff of people are getting paid to churn out the same crap every day of every week, there are plenty of sites out there more than happy to cater to you. Some of those sites even offered to purchase I-Mockery, but I turned them down flat, because this place is an alternative to all of that.
I am a person who never stays content doing the same thing over and over again... I need to find new projects to entertain myself with. Sometimes that means writing articles, other times it means making games, other times it means doing shows and making videos. Whatever I feel like working on, I only have but so much to do so, as I-Mockery is still just a labor of love and not something that pays all the bills. I was working at a video game company for a while this year, commuting down to San Diego from LA each week to help them out... do you think that left a lot of time to write huge, multi-page articles with hundreds of photographs, or screenshots and animated GIFs that often take 1-2 weeks to complete? No, of course not. Like any human being, I do what I can, when I can.
If there's something on here you don't like, don't worry about it... chances are something else will come along that you will enjoy. And if not, I have almost 15 years worth of content on here for you check out. Nobody's forcing anybody to like everything I do on here, but attacking what I do because "it's not what you used to do" isn't going to accomplish anything, believe me.
While working on I-Mockery takes up a lot of my time, I love doing it, but it's still something I do for free. You're not being charged to read the content on here; it's a truckload of free entertainment. For every article that takes you just a few minutes to read through, it usually represents hours, or days, or sometimes weeks of work. Please keep that in mind.
If there's one thing I'm not going to do, it's force myself to work on something I'm not in the mood for. So love it or hate it, like it or leave it... this is how I run I-Mockery. It reflects what I'm interested in at any given time, constantly changing with me, and it shows a guy who enjoys what he does.
Feel free to chime in with your thoughts on all of this, as I'm happy to hear what you have to say.
Now, with all that out of the way, it's time to get back to more of what I really enjoy. And speaking of which, September 1st is coming up soon. Hope you're all ready for our annual "Two Months of Halloween" celebration, cuz myself and Dr. Boogie have some awesome stuff in store for you.
Stacy (Guest) on 08/31/2012 1:08 pm
But RooOOoOoOooooG! I don't like something you deeeew so I'm gonna whiiiIIiiIIiiIiiiiine about it!
I like the screaming videos. Why? BECAUSE I'M A LOUD PERSON.
That being said: how badly did you blow your voice out doing the Breakfast Club angry vid? Because son, that made MY throat hurt!
Hurry up and be September! I want Halloween!
GreenPeaness on 08/31/2012 5:57 pm
I've been on I-Mockery for years. I never found Max's stuff funny. There's a big staple of the "heyday", but I just didn't find it funny. I never complained, because there's something here for me, too. The screaming videos, they give me a good "heh" but that's what it's supposed to be. It's absurd, loud, ridiculous and gives you a laugh. If it's not your thing, then find something here that's for you, too. And yeah, Doc Mock wasn't my thing either, but I turned on a few of my real life friends to I-Mockery through it and even if I thought the guest was boring or the movie was too bad, we were all still up late, on the JustinTV live chat, trying to make Miss Diagnosis take her top off or submitting poorly drawn pictures for contests. See, even in that light, there was something for me content-wise. This place is great. Some stuff's just not my thing, but there's always something here for me.
Kabrone (Guest) on 08/31/2012 10:15 pm
you've just kind of moved on from the article stuff, i guess because you never officially said that some people don't get that.
I'm fine with the move to more video stuff,Doc Mock was awesome but that's not around anymore and it's good to see you do this stuff now.
you move on and pursue new interests and hopefully the people who liked what you did will also like what you do now and follow you.
-RoG- on 09/01/2012 12:03 am
Well, "moved on" implies that I'm done with something, and that's certainly not the case. I love writing and you'll see a boatload of new Halloween articles from yours truly in the next two months. Have I branched out and started working on a wider variety of things instead of doing nothing but working on articles though? Absolutely.
Kenji on 09/01/2012 5:44 am
Which is precisely why I think this new phase is to be met with excitement and high fives all around, instead of self-centred criticism (re: current updates being "unfunny"; what's funny and what isn't is a matter of personal judgement, and if you think your opinion is absolute then you're in for some huge disappointments down the line).
Lucas D. (Guest) on 09/01/2012 12:24 pm
I was about to say: Dudes, give it a little while. Halloween is coming, and that's I-Mockery's most wonderful time of the year.
That said, I do sort of miss the Weeklies. Maybe you could delegate more of those kinds of duties to your loyal fans? We can always come up with some good crap hardly anyone else has ever heard of before, and lots of us have way too much free time on our hands.
Hey Dude Where’s My Car 9/11? (Guest) on 09/03/2012 2:59 am
I'm the guy that rented "Dude Where's My Car?" from your video store when 9/11 happened. That movie was totally worth it bro!

I really like these videos. I've been comin here on n off for like (wait could it really be ten years?) well, a long time. This is some hilarious shit. At least as good as "I Will Beat Pac-Man!" Plus, keep in mind this is a SERIES, that means more should be coming, and will add to the site content. Yeah, they're thirty seconds, just the right length in my opinion. the joke doesn't have time to get old :) Keep 'em comin' Rog!
Daniel (Guest) on 09/04/2012 10:39 pm
I've been following the site since virtually the beginning and I think the "Movie Moments" videos are hilarious. To me, these are the very things that make me come to the site. I didn't know what to expect when I pressed play and I genuinely laughed out loud. This is classic I-Mockery.
While I do agree that the site went a little downhill when RoG started focusing more on elaborate projects like Doc Mock and Abobo, I also realize that this is HIS site and we are along for the ride. I want him to do what makes him happy and if I just happen to enjoy a certain article or video he posts then that just makes my day just a little better.
MORE MOVIE MOMENTS MADE ME MAD! RRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAH!!!
Uchuu (Guest) on 09/27/2012 7:28 am
Well I know I am late with my comment. I am a long time reader (since 04 ca.).
On this site there is sooo much to read and play, and watch etc., etc.
I like it like it is. It has this special I-Mockery atmosphere, this special feeling. While I can understand that some may find "angerhumor" not funny, I can´t understand why people don´t respect all sorts of humor. For me it is a form of "humor-racism". Imagine I-Mockery would only focus on a certain group of people.. it would leave all other people out of the fun. It´s better to find a large variety of stuff on a funny site like this than to be forced to read only say.. helloween humor, because the helloween people don´t approve other fun.
Saying rather negative sounding things like "this site is going down" doesn´t really hit the point.
What I want to point out as an artist myself. The way to push another person to do something you like is to remind him of how great this or that was that he did some time ago, and that you would be happy to have that kind of stuff again.

Momma always said, sitting too close to the television would be bad for my brain
