Late last week, I went on a trip to Los Angeles for a long weekend to see what it was like. I was really surprised by what I found. But rather than tell you about it here in the I-Mockery blog with only a few photos, I've put together a large 3-page photo gallery of my entire trip. Take a look and lemme know whatcha think!
Also, on a sidenote, I've started writing for CRACKED magazine, which is really cool since I grew up reading it along with MAD. Don't worry, I'm not stopping I-Mockery, I'm just doing material for CRACKED on the side just like I did for National Lampoon. So you can expect to see some of my work on their site every now 'n then. My first piece for them is now up and you can check it out HERE.

Hm...your going up in life.
*cough bastard! *cough
But seriously, congratulations,Rog for writing for Crack.Very funny too. And,I know this may be bit too soon to ask, but, you will one day stop updating i-mockery,won't ya?

cool pics of L.A., specially for that wondrous biggalistic monster-pizza. How on earth do they deliver that sort of stuff? With a crane? A 60-portion pizza is something far out of my mind-frame. I can't think I could stand in front of one and prevent my head to explode.
As for the cracked...well I won't make a comment since Money ain't the only thing Mad in the show.
The guy's a complete nut and shouldn't be allowed to appear on tv...my gawd!

I may have to go to L.A just for Omega Pizza,oh and why didnt you take the Monkey he could've done some work around the House.
Steve (Guest) on 02/09/2006 3:06 pm
Holy crap those are some beautiful pics.
Especially the pizza.
I think only a superhero (or villain) could possibly eat an entire one of those things.
"Hulk angry! Hulk have indegestion!"
microshock (Guest) on 02/09/2006 7:00 pm

DUDEMASTER (Guest) on 02/10/2006 4:06 am
You went to L.A. and didnt go to Disneyland? Boooo. Yep we do have pizzas that big in Southern Cali and You can usually get one for around 25 bux. At least you went to the Santa Monica 3rd street that place kicks ass for shopping plus the mall is like right next door its a recovering shopaholics nightmare.
Doug (Guest) on 02/10/2006 11:12 am
... man, you went to LA?
Do you know how much fans you have there!?
*counts them*... uh... 3.
blckbrd (Guest) on 02/10/2006 1:12 pm
so... when are you gonna hit the Big Taco?
Reading this and watching the pics, it would be interesting to see your experience in Mexico City...
Hell yeah! specially trying to identify the places and all, lots of ctrl+c/ctrl+v...
Smileydude (Guest) on 02/10/2006 6:29 pm
That was a great article. i just about pissed myself when i seen him with the money horn, epsecially with the caption. Great job R0G!
AlF (Guest) on 02/10/2006 7:41 pm
Both as a lifetime Southern Californian and a longtime lover of I-Mockery, I'm "totally stoked" you dug L.A. It's hardly the hell-hole New York's comedians would have you believe.
And yes, we do seem to have an amazing abundance of palm trees. And hills.
AlF (Guest) on 02/10/2006 7:43 pm
But why didn't you crash Auggie-Dog Hotdogs? It is the ultimate in underground, fast-food, dives. Very hush-hush.
-RoG- (Guest) on 02/10/2006 10:55 pm
Jreed, yeah that's definitely a bit too soon to ask and who knows what the future holds? Only Miss Cleo knows.
Microshock, the pizza was somewhere around 30 bux... and when you divide that up among six people that's not too bad at all really.
Vrej / Dr. Volshurawitz / Doug, shoulda kept an eye on the message forums. I made a post in there before my trip to see who lived in LA hehe. There's always next time. For now, however, I've escaped your evil stalker grasps!
Dudemaster, I honestly have no interest in Disney Land or Disney World or Disney Holocaust Camp or Disney anything.
blckbrd, who knows, there's all sorts of places I'd like to travel to... it's just a matter of putting aside the time and money to do it heheh...
Smileydude, thanks, glad you liked the Cracked piece. They brought me on to do a big parody for them too, so keep an eye out for that next month. Of course, I'll make sure to announce it here on I-Mockery as well.
AIF, yeah L.A. is way better than what a lot of people say about it, and that's exactly why I wanted to go out there and see it for myself. Sure, there's plenty of fake people 'n what not, but that can be said about any place depending on what circles you hangout in. Ya just gotta know where to look. As for Auggie-Dog, I don't like hot dogs to be honest, but that must be the place my friend pointed out that had a huge line of people waiting outside just to get one. o.O
Jreed (Guest) on 02/11/2006 2:46 am
Miss Cleo.....the spawn of Fjornok and the WTF? Ball.
Jreed (Guest) on 02/11/2006 3:12 am
Oh yes...on another note to add. It's good that it's still unclear on what i-mockery will become, because it can grow into the greatest pickle empire in the world,or lies and burn in the seventh layer of hell.
But when i-mockery become's nothing more than crappy, teared pieces of old G.I.Joe comics laying in the basement, collecting dust, that is when the universe will spire out of control, when the cosmos collapses upon itself. For we will have no one there in power to make crazy rants about an evil, evil fwog(Max Burbank). Or how crappy the new Megatron looks like (ProtoClown). And the countless and countless reviews of naked 8-bit pixels of Wilford Brimely (Dr.Boogie).Or how our childhood memories were tainted be the evilness of Wookie porn (-RoG-)!
For when that day comes...the day Disney takes over the world, the day that, "Fabio:After Dark" becomes the most popular ablum of all time, and the day that the, "no-water" diet become's popluar with chubbies is the day...the sad,sad day, that the final issue of Pickleman will come out,"The Death of Pickleman!".
Wait for it...wait for it.....yes..SHIT!
Oh,yes,30 bucks for a huge hulk-size pizza? That's almost how much I pay for my pizza to get delivered!
azrael (Guest) on 02/11/2006 3:55 am
I just recently took a trip to L.A. (well ok it was like 8 months ago) but I went with someone who had lived there for like 15 years before and it was crazy. Not just because of the stuff he remembered that was still there but mainly the stuff he remembered that wasn't there any more. For instance the bar he used to hang out in with his friends still looked the same on the outside but once inside it was a S&M gay bar on the inside. Man, he still hasn't heard the end of that little part of the trip.
Chris (Guest) on 02/11/2006 12:18 pm
Rog in south central! Man to me thats hilarious.
Shane Skekel (Guest) on 02/11/2006 4:52 pm
Arcades and doughnuts rule. As for Disney, why not dedicate an entire Visionary Darkness piece into why you hate them so much? I'm looking forward to that Pickleman game too.

The Gaorangers aren't generic! They... just never made it to America. Here's the Wikipedia entry about them, if you don't believe me. Turns out, ALL Power Rangers are generic... and originated back in 1975.
Luke (Guest) on 02/14/2006 6:02 am
I have been to LA/Vicinity 3 times now and I loved it every time. I am an Oregon native so it's probably no big deal but the weather is good and it's just as fake as any city with a "buzz" (like Portland) did I just say that? No
Michael Bakshi (Guest) on 02/15/2006 6:13 pm
I can't believe they let a Canadian like you into America. Who knows how many Americans you contaminated with your socialistic ideas!
Yelinna (Guest) on 02/18/2006 12:40 pm
I've never seen a pizza as big as that!!
UNBELIEVABLE!!
NOOB (Guest) on 03/04/2006 1:21 pm

Hey; I am from Los Angeles and it was great to see your page! I live in Westwood, by UCLA and am sick of hearing people talk non-stop smack! But, I will tell you this. The Traffic is horrible. It takes me over 2 hours to get 15 miles to work DAILY. Byeeee
James (Guest) on 09/27/2006 7:31 pm
Hey there. Loved the pics--no snide comments here. I visited there last year for the first time and had a blast--so much so I went back for my graduation present to myself this past May. I may even move there after grad school. Later!
Doctor dumbass (Guest) on 11/17/2006 7:11 pm
what's the number of that pizzeria?
Red C. (Guest) on 05/07/2007 5:40 pm
Awesome perspective. Let me know when you're gonna be in the LA area again, or SD. I live here now, and haven't even been to half of those spots! Maybe all of us can do SD together. Yey!
