Doc Mock’s Movie Mausoleum! Last Episode Of The Month Airs LIVE Tonight!

Don't forget! TONIGHT, Friday May 22nd, is the LAST new episode of the month so be sure to catch it LIVE at 10pm PST on thestream.tv! The network is going on a 2-week hiatus so they can upgrade the site so that all of the shows can be viewed in widescreen! So yeah, when we return on June 12th, the show is going to look even better for all of ya!

We'll probably be staying up EXTRA late tonight since it's the last show before the break, so be sure to stick around after the movie is over! We'll probably have some fun post-show antics taking place and who knows what else. Miss Diagnosis and I hope to see all of you in the chat rooms tonight!

And remember, in addition to being on thestream.tv, the show will also be streaming live on both justin.tv and ustream.tv in their "thestreamdottv" channels. Wherever you happen to be watching the show from, be sure to hop in the chat rooms so you can blab it up with all the other insomniacs as we watch another movie together! See ya there!

Lastly, if you missed episode 3 last Friday, you can catch up on it before the show tonight as it's now archived online!

There either isn't one, or he forgot, or it's a surprise.

Oh my bad, I thought I typed it on there. The guest tonight is Joe Hartzler! He's a great improviser here in LA and he also appeared in the Headless Horseman movie and had his head chopped off, so that's pretty great. And really, who wouldn't want to have their head chopped off in a movie? Hell, if I was an actor, the moment I had my head chopped off, I would probably retire, because I'd know it would be all downhill from there.

Joe Hartzler seemed like he was sort of "out of his element" last night. I say that because he seems like a guy that I would expect to be funny otherwise but Doc Mock's Mausoleum of Torment & Doom just wasn't the best platform for his style.

Also, Rog I'm the guy who was asking you to do diabolical experiments last night. I was thinking, hey you went through all the trouble to be a mad scientist character, let's see some mad science.

Everybody was making fun of Joe in the chat and I thought they were just playing around, but I guess people really didn't think he was funny- which is odd to me, because I thought he and Alex Fernie were the most hilarious guests. He had a very understated humor style, maybe a chatroom that was spammed with "LUL MOOBS" 90% of the time was the wrong audience.

i enjoyed it again last night/morning. it was an extra long morning for me and it was great hanging out. the movie was something else and you can not go wrong with patrick swayze as an encore :P.
maybe if joe comes back another time, he should handle the chat ;)

It was a great episode, I actually pulled an all-nighter because of it!

However, I feel bad because most people on the show had a lousy night. Joe did because he is supposedly fat, which I did not think, but everyone else made fun of him for it. Miss Diagnosis did because of the perverts on the message boards, and Licky did because Doc Mock is going to fire him. XD

I'm getting sick of all the Doc Moc stuff personally, this site doesn't update anymore with anything but it. The show is just not good, I'm sorry Rog but you guys should stick to what you know. And the characters are really dumb no offense.

I love the show and catch every episode. It's a real blast. I was totally blown away that Ep 2 was Eliminators! I LOVED THAT MOVIE AS A KID and it inspired many a random mandroid drawing in my notebooks during elementary school. I'm totally looking forward to more Mausoleum after the break.

So.. ep4. I don't think the audience was really any different on Ep 4, compared with other episodes. Ultimately, Joe just did not have the rhythm or sense of humor for the audience. Mock and Miss D would jump-start the laughs and rhythm really well, but Joe would just repeatedly sink it. ("understated" is a misnomer in this case) The crowd gradually lost patience and got unhinged, especially after the repeated bad, unfunny, and some downright gross stuff from Joe. (the crowd really got rowdy after the awful sock joke. you can't say that the audience went there first.) Unhinged crowds have heckled bad comedians off the stage since god-knows-when, especially once the comedian starts showing signs of weakness, and it was truly all over once Joe started paying attention to the chat. If he had just gone on making his mostly-unfunny jokes, with only Miss D letting anything from the chat into the show, it would not have turned into a trainwreck.

Rog handled the evening pretty smoothly and tried to play ball with Joe, give him the benefit of the doubt. But there's only so much you can do when you're live and your guest just digs hole after hole.

Anyway, IMO, Rog is onto something with Doc Mock. It's a really fun show and definitely plan on catching it regularly.

Well, maybe I'm just being pissy because I am really getting kinda sick of it being the only thing on the site now.

To answer some questions, I-Mockery is (and always has been) updated at random. Sometimes it's updated constantly, other times it's very sporadic... just depends on what myself and the other writers have going on at the time.

Currently, we're trying to put things together for Comic-Con, including getting the finishing touches done for a playable demo of our upcoming mystery Flash game. There's a lot of stuff I have to get printed up as well, not to mention fill out a bajillion forms 'n what not.

And yes, Doc Mock's Movie Mausoleum recently started, so that is also a big priority of mine. It quickly became the #1 show on their network and I'm extremely excited about it. It's a whole new way for me to interact with the audiences. I've been writing on this site for over 10 years, and while it's a blast when those articles go live, writing them is always a very solitary (and lengthy) activity. I'm the kind of person who loves working with people... always have been, always will be.

Doing Doc Mock is a totally different experience for me. I'm in a professional studio, I'm getting to work with some great people on a weekly basis, I get to share some of the most insane movies ever produced, I get to have new improvisers on the show each week, and I get to interact with people via the chat room. I definitely didn't move out to LA to keep doing the same thing I've been doing for the past 10 years. Hell, if I've never stuck with the same thing for too long because I eventually find something else I'd like to work on. That's why this site is such a huge conglomeration of all the random interests that myself and the other writers have. It's a place where we can say and do just about anything (well, not to the extent of Zombocom perhaps, but you get the idea).

Anywho, thanks for all the continued support of the show guys. Glad most of you have been enjoying it every week. I love the "never know what's gonna happen" nature of it since the show is done live and we're totally winging it with a different guest who brings his/her own unique style of comedy to the table each week. It's a total blast to do!

Speaking of having a blast, I was in the studio late Saturday night because I brought in my Neo Geo system and we played games live on the air. It was an unplanned thing so I didn't really announce it here on I-Mockery, but the entire thing was archived online at the following URL:
www.justin.tv/clip/ac81ba05851101ff

The clips are in 15 minute increments, so just click next to view the following ones whenever you reach the end of a clip.

Anywho, we'll have more updates on I-Mockery sometime soon, but currently almost all of my attention is on the new show and this huge new game we've been working on, so other than the Weeklies and blog updates, that's pretty much what you can expect from me on here in the near future. Huzzah!

yeah, i kinda understood that the site was gonna be on a back burner for awhile seeing as most of the guys are working on their own projects. RoG is busy with doc mock and protoclown is busy with his comic book.

nilus (Guest) on 05/26/2009 11:46 am

So does that mean no archived episode for two weeks. How am I gonna blow two hours of work this week?

User avatar

Nilus, the episode from this past Friday should go up online sometime later on today supposedly. It was an extra long episode. We did the regular 2-hour episode with the movie, then did a bonus episode right after in which we aired an old TV show.

But hey, until that double-episode goes up later today, you can pass the time by watching our post-show dance party:

Or you can watch the very lengthy (26 fifteen-minute long video clips in all) footage from Saturday night in which we brought a Neo Geo into the studio and just decided to play video games on the air 'til the wee hours of the night:

Hooray for timekillers!

I forgot about that dance party! Yeah, nice special effects on that one! :D
