Abobo & Angry Video Game Nerd!
Looks like Santa decided to deliver an early present for us this season! After years of talking about covering the game, thanks much in part to suggestions from fans like you, James and Mike from Cinemassacre / AVGN have finally filmed a full-playthrough of our Abobo's Big Adventure game. It's now up on YouTube in a 2-part video series, and I had a blast watching them play through it all. Seeing their reactions to the grand finale of the game was particularly great, and watching it bring James, the Angry Video Game Nerd himself, to actual tears of laughter put a huge smile on my face. Even though it was released years ago, I'm always humbled by how many people are still playing our game and introducing it to people who never knew about it. Big thanks to James & Mike for helping introduce it to their audience, and thanks to those of you who kept suggesting they play it over the years!
On an unrelated note, I have a gargantuan new pictorial piece coming up this week that's gonna warm up your winter holiday season like nothing you've ever seen before. It's based on an amazing trip I recently took to a unique holiday destination. It's a place I've been meaning to visit for years, and it blew my expectations away. Keep an eye out for it this week!

I loved watching James and Mike play your game! They're just the right players to do the game justice, and now a whole new audience knows about Abobo's Big Adventure. The fact that they loved it is even better, you could hardly ask for a better endorsement!

Even though I'm no longer a fan of the AVGN, I still love Abobo's Big Adventure.

Ooh I should probably check this out. My favorite thing about letsplays is when they cover games that I'm just not good enough to beat. I gave it my shot, enjoyed it, but I still kinda wanna know how it ends and see someone else's live reaction to that.

I was right! That was really something. Watching them play, with some of the repeating bits cut out, watching them catch all the references, that was a most triumphant view. I'm glad I played it myself, but as a scrub that sucks at beating things (pogo gorilla NEARLY defeated me but I did manage to beat that) that letsplay was the ultimate abobo ending experience.

That was awesome. Cinemassacre and I-Mockery have been some of my favorite sites for years, and in spite of covering similar subject matter I never thought that we were going to get to see a crossover between the sites like that. I don't think that I've ever seen a game make James and Mike laugh that hard. Now they need to be convinced to give Bionic Chainsaw Pogo Gorilla a try!

Just watching James Rolfe play your game with his hands criss crossed hurt my wrists. I wish you guys could update it so you can adjust the keys to use WASD.
