You too could be mauled by a dinosaur at Comic-Con!
It's time to get nerdy once again! The car is all loaded up and we're ready to head down to the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con for I-Mockery's third time as an exhibitor! I hope you can come visit us at the convention in our new location (Booth #E10 - near Aisles 600 & 700 - here's a map) because we've got lots of fun stuff to show ya this year! Here's some of what you can expect to see:
-A rare chance to play our Abobo's Big Adventure game (including a special 2-player battle mode) on a custom Abobo arcade cabinet!!! This includes three new levels and four boss fights never seen at Comic-Con before!
-Free Abobo masks for anybody who tries out the game! Now your face can be as beautiful as Abobo!
-Free Abobo buttons for people who manage to defeat one of the big new bosses!
-For the first time ever, all three 8-bit pixel posters will be available including the new Halloween one!
-I-Mockery "Awesome Shark" and "Forbidden Love" t-shirts!
-PickleMan comic books! Protoclown's comic books! Strangepuppets comic books!
-A limited edition t-shirt from Re!
-I-Mockery Button Packs!
-I-Mockery Magnets & Stickers!
-Free gory "Dinosaur's Attack" trading cards with every purchase! (this site is old as a dinosaur, so why not?)
and of course...
-I-Mockery Pickle Hats! (while supplies last)
As always, we had an absolute blast last year, so I can't wait to head on down to the convention and get started. It's too much fun meeting longtime fans of the site along with all the new ones. We've put a ton of work and cash into making this happen once again this year, and it's all because want to celebrate the 13+ years this site has been online with the fans that have kept us going! So, if you're going to be at the Comic-Con, be sure to stop by I-Mockery Productions Booth #E10 - near Aisles 600 & 700! (here's a map to our booth)
Myself, Re, and Nick (programmer of the Abobo game) will all be there at the table this year. And yes, to those of you who've asked in the blog and via email, we'll be more than happy to sign anything you buy (or any other weird things you bring to the convention for us to sign). We'll even sign your face if you remember to bring it with you.
For those of you who can't come, we're sorry you're gonna miss it, but rest assured we'll still do our best to take as many photos of the convention as possible like we do every year. Obviously, we're gonna be super-busy with the booth, but once I'm back in town from Comic-Con, I'll try to post up all those photos as quickly as possible. I'll also try to update the I-Mockery blog and Facebook page with some photos each day if time permits.
Again, for those of you who've never been, I feel I need to once again remind you of a very important fact: despite the misleading name, the Comic-Con has MUCH more than just comic books. True, if you're a fan of comic books, you'll be in heaven, but if you're not that into 'em, there's still PLENTY for you to do. Over the years, the convention has basically become a mega-media event. The convention center is chock full o' the latest video games for you to test out, tons of movie promotions, toys galore, incredible costumes, and some truly amazing artists as well. If anything, comics have taken a backseat to all the other crazy things going on at the convention. So yeah, the name is really misleading to some people, and that's unfortunate because they have no idea what they're missing out on.
Be sure to keep an eye on the I-Mockery Facebook and I-Mockery Twitter pages throughout the week. I'm gonna be super busy, but I'll do my best to update them from Comic-Con whenever I have a chance.
Alright, that's all for now. Wish us luck, cuz this is gonna be one hell of an insane week... again!

Make sure to see how Capcom's booth goes.
With Megaman Legends 3 being cancelled, I'm sure it'll be a very interesting showing.

Well, I can't go to Comic-Con but as always, I look forward for your pictures :). Oh and btw tell Dr. Boogie how a big fan I am of his Rom Hack reviews, too bad I'm not allowed to post in them for some reason xp. cheers.

Thrash0 - I did a whole feature on the Dinosaurs Attack cards a few years back... just do a search for it and you'll find it. And I always bring those cards to our booth every year now since so many people love 'em.
stonewar - Yeah, we actually had a bunch of people come up to the booth and tell us that io9 featured us on their "Best of Comic-Con" list. That was definitely awesome to hear... really nice of them to include us considering how many great exhibitors were there.
Fathom - Excellent! Thanks for letting me know about the Destructoid love!
Jony B. Good - Why doesn't it let you post on his rom hack reviews? What does it say when you try to post? As for the Comic-Con pictures, I'm working on 'em and hope to have the pictorial finished within a week or so.

well it only had the "leave a Reply" link, but it wasn't working, and there was no comment window like this one, but it all seems to be fine now. Thanks!

So, was there any commotion from Megaman fans at the con?
-RoG- on 07/28/2011 3:55 pm
Phil - You mean because that Mega Man Universe was canceled? I didn't see any commotion about it at the 'con, but I was at my booth most of the time, so it's hard to say.
Phil (Guest) on 07/28/2011 7:19 pm
I was more about Megaman Legends 3 being cancelled, but I guess it's the same deal.
