Upon An Oaken Throne, This Black Metal Master Awaits Goblets Of Royal Blood.

Mayhem - a band who simultaneously mastered black metal and bacon.

NOTE: Episode re-airs Saturday, November 20th at 2:30pm PST on G4. The segment is about the three "toughest rockers" - Ozzy, G.G. Allin, and Mayhem. Hope you can catch it! It's also available on iTunes, PSN, Xbox Live and Zune.

Yep, that's me. There's a new show called "That's Tough" coming to G4 TV in October focusing on the toughest people, places and things in the history of the world. Naturally, they chose to have me be on it. Har! They actually had me playing the lead guy from the infamous Norwegian black metal band Mayhem who killed himself years ago. Not sure when the episode / segment is gonna air for sure yet, but I'll be sure to post about it as soon as I hear more.

Anyway, it was a great shoot and I had a lot of fun being up on stage with that severed pig head while screaming in front of a crazed, headbanging audience. I've been a rocker of some sort in the last two shoots I've done... looks like I'm already being typecast. Actually, seeing myself in all that makeup really brings me back to the days when I was working on the ol' Metal Mockery site as I'm sure many of you old school I-Mockery chums recall. The Logo Deciphering section was always my personal favorite part of that site. Good times.

During some of my down time on the shoot, I was checking out one of the boxes filled with props and I found something that I knew would make for a perfect picture:

Warriors! Come out to playeeeeeaaaaaay!

By combining my black metal costume with the baseball gear I found, I turned myself into a member of the Baseball Furies gang from The Warriors! Now if you'll excuse me, I clearly need to go find some nail polish remover.

QUESTION: If I was going to start up a metal band of some sort, a) what would you name the band and b) what would be my stage name?

all-our-photos-from-the-2010-san-diego-comic-con-are-up

All Our Photos From The 2010 San Diego Comic-Con Are Up!

It's been an insanely busy month what with moving 'n all, but I've finally finished putting together my gargantuan gallery of photographs from the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con! Check it out!

It always feels good to get a huge article like that published on the site, but the Comic-Con one is particularly special for me. Not only is it great to look back and see all the great memories from the convention, but completion of that article always means one very important thing to me: Halloween season is getting very close!

I-Mockery's annual "Two Months of Halloween" will be back once again this year and I'm definitely looking forward to it. Of course, I'm still in the midst of moving and have a million other things to get settled, but I'll do my best to keep the site updated regularly throughout the season. I was in a store just last night that already had a ton of Halloween stuff out, so you can expect a post about that soon.

Hmm... I just realized that I don't even know what I'm going to dress up as this Halloween. Time to start brainstorming. How about you guys? Have you already started planning your costumes?

Our Human Centipede Game Is Everywhere!

Human Centipede: The Game. A heartwarming gift to the people of Earth.

Wow! I can't believe how far our little Human Centipede game has crawled on its hands and knees. I'm absolutely floored by this. In the past 24 hours, the game has been part of a virtual media firestorm. It seems like all the major sites I visit, including my favorite horror and gaming news sites, have plugged it recently. Definitely didn't expect to see coverage of the game in the New York Times, the Boston Herald, or LA Weekly either. Super excited that Dieter Laser (the surgeon gone mad in the film), Akihiro Kitamura (the front of the centipede), and IFC have already commented on the game too. Who knows... maybe they'll even include a copy of the game on the Human Centipede DVD when it comes out. Tom Six, IFC... if any of you are reading this and would like to talk about including the game on the DVD, please email me.

I'm just glad to see people playing our little parody of the classic Centipede arcade game and I hope it results in people trying out some of our other games too. I've said it before and I'll say it again - there's no web-related task I enjoy more than making comedic Flash games. Also, much credit goes to my friend Jacob (or "Mew" as he's known here on I-Mockery) who worked on the game with me and did an excellent job coding it so this parody would be as close to the original Centipede as possible.

Of course, I also have to thank my buddy Tom Fulp over at Newgrounds for all his support of the game and for promoting it on the site extensively. He's believed in just about every game we've ever made, and that kind o' support goes a long way. I strongly recommend playing the game on Newgrounds too, because we added an assortment of achievement medals to the game to make it that much more fun and challenging.

Again, many thanks to all of you who've been telling your friends about the game. Can't tell ya how much we appreciate the support!

Hit the jump for a big (and ever-growing) thank you list to just some of the people and sites that have covered it already: (more...)

Our Halloween 2009 Costumes!

Still recovering from a crazy two full months of Halloween antics which all culminated with our big celebration at the annual West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnival. I promised I'd show you guys what our costumes were, so here be a few photos of 'em! Hope you all had a great Halloween, and if not, there's always next year to make it right.

Re and I all decked out for Halloween!

Yes, I decided to do an interesting combination this year for my Halloween costume... Frankenstein's Monster and Freddy Krueger. FrankenKrueger! Sure, you may not associate the two, but I do. Why? They both hate FIRE! Fortunately, Re was the angel by my side and kept those fires at bay for most of the evening.

Hit the jump to see more photos of our costumes. (more...)

Happy Halloween!

Robo Disguise - Best costume ever or Worst costume ever? YOU DECIDE!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY! So this is my Halloween costume. Hahah, no, of course it's not... but I HAD to buy it when I saw it in the local dollar store because it's absolutely ridiculous. Robo Disguise is neither a robot nor a disguise, it's simply four shades of glitter stuck into a little novelty gear. No matter how good you are with the application of make-up, you will NOT look like the robot kid in any way whatsoever. Actually, the kid doesn't look like much of a robot either, it's more like a weathered skull on one side of his face. Worst costume ever? Quite possibly.

Doc Mock's MonsterTime - Our new Flash game parody/tribute to BurgerTime!

We always like to end Halloween with a bang, so we've given you a quadruple attack of spooky awesomeness in the past 24 hours. First off, our new Doc Mock's MonsterTime game is up and running. It's a parody of and tribute to BurgerTime in which you play as Doc Mock himself, but you're not building burgers this time. No, this time you're building classic horror movie monsters instead while modern horror movie monsters chase you all over the screen! We have high scores working on it 'n everything, so try it out and see if you can make it onto the high scores list!

We also filmed a 3-hour Halloween special for Doc Mock's Movie Mausoleum on Friday night with some amazing guests - Count Dracula and Frankenstein's Monster! We put a LOT of work into that episode and I think you're gonna love what you see. If you missed it on Friday night, the episode is now archived online for your viewing pleasure and also available as a free download on iTunes. Click here to start watching it!

We felt bad about not having a Halloween "Select Your Destiny" story last year because we simply ran out of time, so this year there's a brand spankin' new one up online. It's full of all the crazy twists and bizarre deaths that you've come to expect from us, so I really hope you guys enjoy it. Click here to read Haunted Mansion Madness!

Last but not least, we have another greatest horror movie moment about "The Fury" up online compliments of Dr. Boogie, and it really is one of the best endings to a horror movie you will ever see. Your head asplode!

Well anyway, I do have a real costume all ready to go and will post photos of it as soon as I have a chance. In the meantime, I want to hear what YOU are dressing up as and doing for Halloween! Going trick-or-treating? Going to some haunted houses? Watching horror movies? If so, what?
