Can you handle the awesome power of Abobo? You'll have your chance to prove it at I-Mockery's Comic-Con booth!

It's finally that time again! The car is all loaded up and we're just about ready to head down to the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con! for I-Mockery's second time as an exhibitor! I hope you can come visit us at the convention (Row 300, Booth #A10) because we've got lots of fun stuff to show ya this year! Here's some of what you can expect to see:

-A new playable demo of Abobo's Big Adventure (including a special 2-player battle mode) on a custom Abobo arcade cabinet!!!

I-Mockery will be landing at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con this July! Hope you'll be showing up too!

We had an absolute blast last year, so I can't wait to head on down to the convention and get started. It's too much fun meeting longtime fans of the site along with all the new ones. We've put a ton of work and cash into making this happen once again this year, and it's all because want to celebrate the 13+ years this site has been online with the fans that have kept us going! So, if you're going to be at the Comic-Con, be sure to stop by I-Mockery Productions Booth #A10!

Myself, Re, and Bom (programmer of the Abobo game) will all be there at the table this year. And yes, to those of you who've asked in the blog and via email, we'll be more than happy to sign anything you buy (or any other weird things you bring to the convention for us to sign).

For those of you who can't come, we're sorry you're gonna miss it, but rest assured we'll still do our best to take as many photos of the convention as possible. Obviously, we're gonna be super-busy with the booth, but once I'm back in town from Comic-Con, I'll try to post up all those photos as quickly as possible. I'll also try to update the I-Mockery blog with some photos each day if time permits.

Again, for those of you who've never been, I feel I need to once again remind you of a very important fact: despite the misleading name, the Comic-Con has MUCH more than just comic books. True, if you're a fan of comic books, you'll be in heaven, but if you're not that into 'em, there's still PLENTY for you to do. Over the years, the convention has basically become a mega-media event. The convention center is chock full o' the latest video games for you to test out, tons of movie promotions, toys galore, incredible costumes, and some truly amazing artists as well. If anything, comics have taken a backseat to all the other crazy things going on at the convention. So yeah, the name is really misleading to some people, and that's unfortunate because they have no idea what they're missing out on.

Be sure to keep an eye on the I-Mockery Twitter and I-Mockery Facebook pages throughout the week. I'm gonna be super busy, but I'll do my best to update them from Comic-Con whenever I have a chance.

Alright, that's all for now. Wish us luck, cuz this is gonna be one hell of an insane week... again!

Lloyd Kaufman, President of Troma Entertainment, will be appearing LIVE on Doc Mock's Movie Mausoleum on Thursday, June 24th at 8pm PST / 110m EST! Don't miss it!

We've been excited about this one for a while and now it's finally happening! President of Troma Entertainment, Lloyd Kaufman, will be joining us as our special guest on Doc Mock's Movie Mausoleum on June 24th! The show starts LIVE on THURSDAY night at 8pm PST / 11pm EST, so be sure to log in to the chat rooms early to talk with Miss Diagnosis and get ready for an amazing time with Lloyd, some lovely Tromettes, and a crazy Troma flick from yesteryear! If you had plans for Thursday night, you had better cancel them... even if it's your wedding or a loved one's funeral. Nothing takes precedence over this episode, alright?

ENTER OUR TROMA CONTEST! Since Lloyd's gonna be on the show, we'd like you guys to show some love for all those insane independent movies he's produced with Troma over the years. We want each of you to draw a picture of Lloyd hanging out with any of your favorite Troma characters (Toxic Avenger, Sgt. Kabukiman, Poultrygeist chickens, etc.) and getting into some kind of trouble.

As always, you do NOT have to be a real artist to participate in this. It doesn’t matter if you want to draw it in Photoshop, MS Paint or even with finger paints... we’ll be judging these entries solely on creativity and humor, not artistic talent. We'll be showing ALL of the entries live on the air and letting Lloyd and his lovely Tromettes judge which entry is their favorite! Whoever wins will get some Troma goodies! Post links to your entries in this blog thread or email them to doc@docmock.com with the subject line "Doc Mock Troma Contest!" As always, you can enter as many times as you like, just make sure your entries are turned in by 4pm PST on Thursday, June 24th. If you turn them in later than that, we can't guarantee that they'll make it into the show in time.

I-Mockery is at E3 and realizing that the bad economy isn't hurting the game industry if they can afford crazy booth displays like this.

Yo ho ho, fellow mockers. I just wanted to let you guys know that we are at E3 again this year and will be posting an extensive photo gallery of the event later this week. In the meantime, you can follow any updates on our Facebook and/or Twitter pages. From playing the new Twisted Metal and Splatterhouse to meeting Captain Sig Hansen and watching a live Lucha libre wrestling match and more... this year's expo has been awesome. Way better than 2009 already.

So for those of you who've been following E3, what have been some of your favorite announcements of the event so far? Did any companies really wow you? Were any of 'em underwhelming? Spill thy beans!

Hulk Hogan Wants To Wrestle Your Debt Into Submission! Whatcha Gonna Do!?

I just saw Hulk Hogan in a commercial for some debt relief company and had to upload it so you could all watch. If there's anybody in this world you want to take financial advice from, it has to be a former WWF superstar with 24" pythons. Wow. Is the Hulkster really in so much debt himself that he's shilling for companies like this now? I thought his old Pastamania campaign for Chef Boyardee was pretty laughable, but this is like watching his last shred of dignity get pinned to the mat for the 1-2-3 count. Just look at this:

"Whatcha gonna do when we squash debt for you! Don't sweat the debt!" Eugh, I think I'll stick with watching classic Hulkster material like No Holds Barred instead, brother.
