Being familiar with 4Chan & YTMND only in the broadest senses of them being pervert hang outs with obscure political leanings & the distillation of everything wrong with Family Guy, I would be hard pressed to tell you that, of late, this forum is any different.

Once, years ago, this place was of gigh quality. A close knit community comfortable with themselves and eachother enough so that they could mercilously mock one another and any passing poster with only the occasional amusing tantrum. The core of this group were Rog, his wife Doops & their friends from Virginia, this expanded out to a second tier of those they had met through the forum and had intermingled with the group resulting in real life meetups & other fun internet hijinks. The next wave of forum members, my wave, saw this group and really wanted to fit in, but the satuation of idiocy was already too high for many of the original members and over time they have left into that oddly scary void known as the real world. After that, most everyone that came saw the pale imitations of the originals that me & my kind portrayed and they attempted their own skewed forms, thus bastardizing this place further.

Now, with the recent implementation of the forum/main site merge we see the next stage of development. A scary & unchecked influx of commenters with no interest beyond leaving their own shit smear at the bottom of a humour article whose meaning that they no doubt failed to grasp.

Why is this place better than 4Chan & YTMND? Once, we were Mockers.

So, eastern vacations start on thursday. My goal was to finish my physics' laboratory analysis by wednesday. After that, i'd only have one more laboratory analysis to finish. Well, it seems that I've completely FUCKED OUT the first part of the analysis which means I cannot finish the fucking 2nd part either. So, I've ended up with only 1/3 done correctly. The fucking physichs laboratory will be closed on tomorrow and thursday, so unless I'm able to fucking whine my way to get to recalculate all the needed quantities I'm forced to postpone the recalculations till next week. Oh yeah, and I have to write down a fucking commentary too.

Now why is it such a bitch to be postponed? Because I'm also supposed to read for the upcoming entrance examinations and I'd really prefer not to have any fucking extra stress to keep my mind occupied, while I fucking try to study! Now, sure, I could just let those anylyses be but unfortunately I need to get them passed to get enough these fucking studypoints to receive the monthly assistance to pay my rent, without the need of burning up my own money.

I can feel the fucking nervous breakdown getting closer.

Mattjack - I do understand. There was a time where I was trying to become more fluent in Spanish so, I'd watch DVD's with Spanish subtitles and I'd watch the whatever Spanish channel I could get in with my shitty, cable-less TV.

Everytime anything was on a Spanish station, my learning process would be interrupted by my yelling, "JESUS CHRIST, MAN!!! THOSE TITS ARE HUGE AND PERFECT!! FUCK! SO ARE HERS!!! AND HERS TOO!!!"

You buy it by the Kg, not in quarters. I guess you might buy a quarter of a wheel of cheese but I've never done that.
One thing go note about the English cheese industry is that we call three quarters of a wheel of cheese a pacman of cheese. It's rare you'd ever want to buy a whole pacman of cheese though.

In terms of time we do our best to confuse foreigners by saying things like "it's quarter past" and omitting the actual hour (as a result of this no one in england ever knows the exact time).

Rhyming slang is only really used by Northern bread salesmen and criminals. Some slang has made its way south though; gypsy's kiss (piss) for example.
